Posted these in the heads up thread that led me to it, but arrived today.

Not had much luck with Seikos of late, but this one is perfectly aligned, second hand hits the markers (I’m always put off when they don’t) and the shroud has a slight texture to it which is very appealing.

An incredibile full set with the original strap... brand new
    Totally in love...
The watch is incredibile but .....the buckle shows the level of the engineering....
By the way....this model won the "Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve in 2004" as the most advanced diver watch of that time....
So proud now :)....like I won the price myself :)

+1, that looks a very good homage - enough twists to make it distinctive. Congrats j111dja!

Remarkably nice for less than £70 including delivery. Seems decently accurate so far, as well. I'd never used AliExpress and was a little wary, but it's all worked out very nicely.
Is that the paganidesign? Saw it in the video.. good buy?

Pleasure, great second pic, too - it strikes me that lots of brands try this sort of colour scheme, but very few pull it off. This, though, is spot-on. Enjoy!

Got my first Scurfa on the way - hopefully as good in the flesh at the pictures. Been after a blue diver for a while and the reviews for these are superb given the relative cost

The MM200 is a great watch in all variants but the great blue hole is probably the best.

I agree. I haven't owned one but I've certainly handled one. What a superb looking watch.

They wouldn't remove the divers ext link in the store but I did that myself within 5 minutes of getting home and now it's perfect.
Did you have to wait long for it? I’ve been on the waiting list with 4 local ADs and still no call

Kind of. I was on the list for a D-Blue for ages and during lockdown was offered one but was scared of the size so asked for a SD43 instead and they allowed me to buy this.

    allowed me to buy this

what has the world come to?

I'm staying lighthearted here, but what an amazing sales model and brand value. Like people queueing outside the Apple store at 00:01 for the new phone.

I wonder what would happen if Rolex instantly doubled the sales price of all models across the world.

I waited 8 months on a waiting list for my brand new car (first new car for me) but the release price was really cheap/undervalued and supply was limited. Anyhow, your new watch is lovely.

Lighthearted also, but doesn’t the bit about your car sum it up? Supply is limited vs demand, and many of these watches are worth thousands more the moment they leave the dealer.

I don’t think it’ll last forever (outside of maybe steel Daytonas and one or two others), but it’s only the extension of this phenomenon to steel Datejusts/OPs that’s odd... there have been waiting lists and overs for the Daytona for decades, there was a craze around the Milgauss GV, and I remember reading on one forum or another that someone on Jersey in the 90s had to wait for a Submariner because ‘ladies in Italy had taken to wearing them’.

A limited production model is a key part for many luxury brands (Ferrari, Hermes, et al.), because strong residuals and (perceived) exclusivity are key. Suspect the next few years of economic contraction might put a dampener on things, but there’s a lot of money out there...

Ha, I meant allowed as in didn't take me off the list for the D-Blue and put me onto one for the SD43 to wait and wait. They let me pay for it right away. I get your point though, the world has gone a bit mad. My brother honestly thinks I'm lying when I say you can't just go in and buy what you want. He said either I'm lying or ADs must be paid not to sell watches. It is an odd situation.

I've said this to many people who say they want to go and buy a SS Rolex. Needless to say, they don't believe me and they'll find out the hard way. Agreed, its all a bit mad!

Only ordered this on Sunday and it arrived today:

I have admired this since Eddie released it. I've missed a few on SC but had saved up enough to buy a new one so I thought I'd give it a go. I was a bit nervous as this is a significant purchase for me.

I am surprised to say that I am slightly underwhelmed. I do have Mk1 PRS-29a which is my favourite watch. Perhaps I am expecting to feel the same straight away and I shouldn't be considering the differences between the two.

I'll see how I get on with it.

Simply stunning Simon, pure watch porn.

Not a bad trade for a Black Daytona, just shows how mad these overpriced steel watches are.

Thank you, and I may just do that. I will most certainly need to brush up on my (limited) photographic skills in order to show off properly the many facets of that wonderful ceramic dial.

Thanks, it was either this brushed gold or a bronze PAM style (that will just go on the back burner for a while).

I've just bought a 'ladies' watch … for myself

It just caught my eye, it was cheap, and once the white strap has been fipped for something more 'masculine', it should be a great little beater.

As with all ADs it had to go grey before he could get it

Lovely watch Skyman. Every week it seems your collection gets more diverse and dare I say ballsy.

These are bullet proof, I have the older Auto in black. It is a great watch, more than a beater for me and great value. Looks top on a camo nato:
