I really like it, really something fresh for a long time.

This is solid chunk, with AR:ed Sapphire and Seiko Meca-Quartz inside.

Offcourse these type of watches are not for everyones liking, but Im sold, big time.

That looks really nice. Lack of lume is a problem for me unfortunately. Otherwise I'd be ordering one immediately.

Congratulations; I had a Prince for a couple of years. A special watch, so different to other modern Rolex models. Display back, with beautifully engraved movement. Hand wound . Just so rare and different.
Of course , that difference meant that most Rolex buyers didn’t want to know......Rolex put so much effort into it. A gem of a watch, but very formal.
There were several different dial designs, all carefully engraved. 18k gold too. When you get it, post a photo of the movement. Quite lovely, and possibly the only modern Rolex with elaborate decoration on the parts.
Of all modern Rolex models, this feels the most beautifully made , a design the company really cared for. But the public didn’t. In years to come that may slowly change.

I couldn't have put it better, those are exactly the reasons why I bought it. I will post pics but my photos tend to be rubbish compared to most on here.

I have been after something dressy for a while and my contact at the AD said I had to check out the Azzurro Dial DJ before I went down the GS route I had been planning.

She got one in for me and one look at the stunning sunburst dial had me convinced she knew what she was talking about!

Well, my 7th MM300 has arrived, and I'd like to think I'll be hanging onto this one as it's the nicest reference to date. Just need to decide what long term strap/bracelet solution I want as the OEM rubber is far too long and I prefer/need a simple 4-hole clasp for the bracelet; for now, though, I'll go with a bit of colour.

Fantastic watch Tony. I kept going back to look at the thread and was close. SLA is a huge step up.

I'm very happy with it, although a bit miffed that they don't provide the old waffle strap any longer, and instead include a rubber that's too long to wear (I say, matron!). I do like the bracelet, though, and the watch itself is spectacular. As for the loom...

Those old waffle straps aren't cheap, either. I bought two at £54 each -- they don't attract a single bit of fluff and aren't the exact same as what comes with a £300 SRP so they were worth it for me.

Actually, I just found a really lovely Hirsch Heritage in my strap box, which to my mind looks perfect (yes, a diver on leather!). I think I'll leave it as is now, save for if I pop[ it on the bracelet.

Congrats - totally agree this is the best reference. I struggled finding a long term strap/bracelet solution when owning an MM300 - it needs to be on the bracelet to balance the head weight. I'm ok with the clasp, but with the bracelet, it then becomes far too heavy. That always is the catch-22 and why I will not buy another one!

Try one of the Crafter Blue straps Tony, they're very good and you can either get one with tang buckle or use the clasp from the bracelet

Yes, there's absolutely no question that they can be a bit top heavy, although I find them well-balanced and very wearable on the bracelet.

Anyway, I've found a combo that I like a lot so this will likely be the non-bracelet option going forward.

That looks good! Worth trying a Haveston Canvas - balances my Deadnought Voyager extremely well and is a lovely strap.

    lip mach 2000

just bought one of these, liked the design for years but not enough to pay the price of an original but this re-issue seemed a bargain at £302.

I’m sure the OP can answer better but looks like tribute to the Lip Mach 2000 designed by Roger Tallon.

as Coronet King said, it is a modern version of the LIP mach 2000 the main difference is it has a quartz movement rather than the original mechanical one.

    https://www.lip.fr/en/266-mach-2000-chrono.html

I bought it from here because it was on sale: (I've just checked and it's even cheaper today £284.40, bollocks!)

    Ooh er...

No “boutique divers” ever again; failed!

At least it is relatively original looking.

I’ll let you know when it’s here. I was outbid on the one with good pics and loads of feedback, then made an offer on the other one, after a few messages to check condition. I don’t normally do “boutique” watches, but it’s unique enough looking to have piqued my interest.

Closest I shall ever come to a GT40 or 917, sadly! This one has Miyota 6S21 quartz inside, on the basis that it'll only be worn very occasionally, and I have no room left for any more watch winders!

That'll be the last space in your watch box filled then.

A lovely watch, what a pleasant surprise to have.
