The Teju strap suits the watch pretty well I think, and it promises to be an attractive counterpoint to the Breitling that Brendan recently serviced/restored for me. I am liking the drilled lugs on the watch, and the more I look at the case the better the condition it appears to be in, with a lovely brushed finish to the case sides (whether original or through age and use) that contrasts nicely with the polish of the bezel and the lugs. At 35mm it is very wearable.

I have looked for a replacement hour hand but will have to rely on Brendan's encyclopaedic knowledge and connections to find a suitable one I think, as Ranfft tells me that a 1.32mm hand is required for the 138.

Don't worry - this one's staying exactly like it is

To be fair to Brendan, the dials on both my Breitling and the Girard-Perregaux were restored with my prior approval and blessing, as neither were legible.

It arrived with an18 mm nato,I had a spare 20 mm strap from Martu,seems to fit the bill so far.

Have to say that strap makes just the right contrast to lift the watch as a whole. For my tastes anyway!

I'm delighted to have finally found a nice tritium-dialled example of the Rainbow Flyback, which came to me this morning by way of a trade. Serviced and a full set too, which is the icing on the cake.

Always wanted to try a Max Bill and after a pleasant meet this morning with Graham I now have this lovely example and put it straight on to my Staib mesh where it's staying. Loving the retro feel

That is a stunner, I would love to see one in the flesh. I imagine it must have quite a heft on the wrist, is it 42mm across? The hints of yellow work for me against the blue dial but I would be just as happy without a blue crown. Nice one!

Possibly the nicest of the new dials, the laser waves not quite a prominent.. great watch and a real alternative to the unobtainable 116610, and on many fronts a better watch
