I put it on a Barton quick release strap (how good are THEY by the way?!) and like the look

Love the Portuguese chrono. Forgive my ignorance but what’s the difference with this LE from a standard model apart from the case back?

The main difference for me is the movement is an entirely in-house column wheel chronograph- I baulked a bit when paying a great deal of money for a valjoux movement.

The other difference is subtle- the dial process was apparently quite different on the 3716 giving the impression of lacquer. Impossible to show in pictures but it is a beautiful dial!

Just purchased this from the forum - only 3 months old and as new. Better in real life than pictures can show - the face really catches the light beautifully.

That is a nice shade of green - definitely one for when the sun is out!

Cheers Junaid. Certainly the face is very 'lustrous'. I always find a new watch so distracting for the first day or two so will probably be getting less work done today than normal.

Needs a green strap to go with it. Now, where is Louis?

    Nice watch by the way.

Thanks guys - I wasn't sure until I actually saw it but it's lovely in the flesh (to my eye at least). However, I think a green strap might verge on the overkill.....

After a while without a Sinn in the collection, I picked up this lovely 2011 example of a UX SDR from Kiloman at the weekend.
It’s in fine condition for an 8 year-old tool watch and as far as I know is on the original battery, so I might see how much longer it runs before I send it off to Sinn for refuelling & oil change.
I believe Manxdiver was a previous owner too. In the photo it’s on a Da Luca NATO, and I’ve popped on my U-212 class tie pin - they’re the class of submarine that use the same grade or steel as the U-series watches from Sinn.

Its on the bracelet but it came on this silicone strap

I then put it on a Hirsch Heritage which suits the watch perfectly.

    Congratulations love this omega

Arrived today thanks to VinceR, Helm Khuraburi. For the price point the quality is outstanding, Seiko should take a look at this bracelet to see how it should be done on the cheaper models. Going to make a great summer watch, a nice change from my usual black face and black bezel combo.

    Lovely

I missed out on one recently on here due to deliberating and not initially having the funds (ended up selling a watch of mine). I'm on the list at DMR but suspect it will be a good while.

From SC, came today. Replaces an SDBX017 I sold last year. Ceramic and sapphire is what this watch needed but wish it still had a lume pip.

Having sold a few watches recently and built up a bit of a “war chest” I collected this today.
After looking in vain for a private seller I bit the bullet and bought from everyone’s favourite grey dealer.
Got a decent chunk off the advertised price so cannot complain.
    Absolutely bloody gorgeous.

That is beautiful. Sometimes you just have to grit your teeth. Usually when you grit your teeth and pay a bit over the odds you're less likely to have a nightmare down the road.

Very nice indeed, I’m on a bit of a collection phase with this type of watch, love a vintage, just too damn small for me but great for the wife.

Clasp is nothing special, but I knew that.
So is that what polished titanium looks like, stunning.

Well chuffed with this. As the watch originally came from Precista House it seems apt to have put it on a Timefactors Precista strap.

Popped over to Hugh Rice this afternoon following a heads up on a BB58 on leather. Long story short, I ended up coming out with this:

Always liked these, although prefer the gold accents one but this is lovely in my opinion and different to what I have. Only reason I didn't get the BB58 is I managed to get something sorted elsewhere for a bracelet version albeit with a slight wait.

Not used Hugh Rice before but had a great few hours there - lovely person to deal with (Claire) who was still happy to chat all things (watches, football, music) even though I'd said at the beginning I was unlikely to buy the BB58. It was only after I was leaving I saw this in the window and went back in to look/buy!

This is cheating a bit, but it has 'arrived' and it looks like it's new after a service at Rolex St James. It's been gone for 2 month, so pleased to have it back.

    My latest:

The very first "proper" watch I bought, some 40 years ago, was a Sekonda (Strella) chronograph, now long destroyed/lost, and I have hankered after another Russian watch for some time now. I have looked at Poljot24.de site often and been attracted to the "OKEAH" chronograph because of it's clear retro looks. I finally took the plunge as I understand the Poljot 3133 movement is no longer made and I wanted to get one whilst they were still available and before there was any further erosion of the €/£ rate. I have to say that Julian Kampmann's excellent reputation was also a factor in deciding to purchase. Well here it is; arrived today. I am delighted with it! Very impressed with the finish/quality of the watch which has definitely exceeded my expectations. The first class service and clear communications from Julian Kampmann made the purchase an absolute breeze.
