The Incoming / New Arrival Thread

I don’t usually post in the incoming thread, mainly because there haven’t been any, due to a self imposed ban for the past year! However, the ban has now ended and I’ve been looking at this watch for ages.

It’s ex-display from Ernest Jones, so no papers and an incorrect box but I’m not bothered, as I got it for a good price and I’ve no intention of selling it. Early days but I haven’t worn anything else since I picked it up last week.

I’ve flipped a lot of watches this year, but I started it with a silver dial quartz aqua terra and I’ve a feeling I’m going to finish it with this grey version of virtually the same watch!

Been looking for a daily ani digi for a while that is waterproof and rugged. This one ticks all of the boxes.
First impressions...solid watch that I'm looking forward to wearing without having to worry about.

It’s stainless steel Paul, just terrible lighting.

Picked up a 2nd hand Hamtun H2 Kraken with an SW-200 for a very reasonable price.
I am very surprised and happy with the piece, far higher quality of finishing than I was expecting.
The only part of the watch I have any issue at all with?
Is the clasp, that said? I have Sinn bracelet clasps that are just as rattly.
The bracelet, watch, dial, bezel, bezel action and the movement all belie the very reasonable price of this watch IMO.
I will keep an eye out for a titanium milled clasp and see about swapping.
    Other than that however?
Honestly feel that this is a very good piece, that offers exceptional value and with a better clasp?
Would be on a par with a Pelagos at a far, far lower price.

Omega NTTD LE on Ti bracelet. Got a small discount equivalent to the LE NATO which I hope to add later.

They do look superb, a bit toppy on price for me but I bet it wears very light.

Very nice, I do like the look of these, I’d be interested to hear thoughts on the bracelet and clasp.

I’d heard bad things about it. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it on. Being all Ti no weight issue. It is comfortable. You need to try it for size - I have a fairly “flat” wrist profile so there is no real gapping around the edges. I guess the bracelet will shape to the wrist over time anyway? It does look a bit strange with effectively 3 layers of Ti. The clasp is typical omega with a double spring action retainer so feels very safe.

    Bottom line - happy.

A pair of arrivals this week.

Had one of these Zenith's before but returned it the day I bought it... It an interesting one, I love it as much as it leaves me a bit indifferent. I think it might be the sapphire crystal that is almost too clear/clean and I have other watches covering the big watch base. The numerals are beautiful and the finishing in the hands very retro, just like a 69 EP I used to own.

The Sinn is perfect - if somewhat heavy. I had a camo version a few years back but couldn't tell the time on it (aging eyes). This on the other hand is perfect. Have always been tempted by the Bauhaus influences.

This has been a marmite watch for me for years. AD recently offered me one and I declined. Having said that it looks good in your photo, wishing you well to wear it.

Picked this up on Saturday and I’m absolutely delighted. It’s a tad smaller than I’m used to, but perfect as a dress watch for my wedding next year.

I’m a big fan of Marmite and a big big fan of that, I know I’m probably in a minority but if I’m honest I prefer it to the white gold, congratulations Dan it’s a beauty.

Latest model SM300 heritage theme and I really like it. Also my Breguet Type XX returned from service yesterday so it is like having 2 new watches. In fact if I was to knock this hobby on the head and just have a couple of watches then I'd be happy just having these 2.
