Not new - except for me as it’s from the 50’s also like me.

But this quite literally could be the last watch I shall buy or need.
How nice, very elegant, and what remarkable condition for a ~70YO watch - it looks almost like new!

    My first Islander watch, ISL-10

Few quick shots from minutes ago, I have removed the bracelet, I'm no bracelet fan in general.

Quality is IMHO, waaaaaaay above price. Like it a lot, so much, that the next watch will be ISL-09.

Lume is nothing less than ATOMIC, and the bezel insert is not ceramic but sapphire (and lumed, too !)

It was only an arrival on my wrist for a few minutes whilst visiting the new Paul Sheeran store in Dublin.

But worth posting for two reasons

1). How lovely it was on the wrist and wore really well despite the thick case holding that Memovox alarm mechanism and …

2). That this mode now has the frankly ridiculous RRP of just under €22k for a stainless steel ‘diver’.

I liked it but not that much.

Just bought this beast, not sure if it might be a bit on the large side?

Joking aside, it’s a Sailing Watch Race timer, so never getting wrist time unless I am sailing. It’s 65mm btw.

After the above post, to try and redeem myself somewhat, here is my new Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41mm I just collected from my AD.

I have one of those ... the beep has failed which is annoying...

Tip : run some PVC tape round the circumference as the yellow puck has a tendency to pop out of the case and sink ...

Thank you for the heads up. I will give that a try. The beep is almost a bit over the top on countdown.

Despite being a newer release, this kind of watch is one ive been hunting for a while, big power reserve, a couple of complications I've never had and in a case for smaller wrists, I didn't realise it was in the sales till a few days ago and am glad to have finally got one!

Not the biggest fan of the strap though, so now a hunt for 19mm straps begins...

Another one from the house of AliExpress. Brilliant value as usual for very little money. Sapphire. Water Resistant to 100m. Screw down crown. Citizen 10th of a second movement. Everything aligns perfectly.

Nice. I had the bronze case/'sterile' green dial variant - really lovely watch for absolute peanuts.

Got it from WR Watches who I trust a lot more than AliExpress...

    Giuliano Mazzuoli Manometro

I owned one of these previously (in blue) and sold it what felt like 5 years ago... it was actually more like 10.

I have always had regret at parting with this piece. Big regret and have checked occasionally on SC hoping to see another. There has been one up on here but a limited edition piece which I knew wasn't for me colour wise.

It is on the Jura site at £2700 having not being around new for a very long time. They started stocking them around a year ago but I wasn't happy paying that much

Got this in the sale at £1455 inclusive of delivery / all in recently... and am delighted to have one on my wrist again.

The cool as Giuliano Mazzuoli Manometro...

Lovely minimalistic design. Nothing to compare watch-wise. If only the winding crown was at 3!

I've ordered the black dial with thicker hands from WR Watches as they're excellent. I also got my Rdunae from them last week.

Arrived a few days ago and it’s really excellent. Everything lines up perfectly, timekeeping is excellent, lume is nuclear and the bezel action is one of the best I’ve ever seen. All for £150 delivered.

    What.. and spoil it ;)

Joking aside.. they do this offering which will probably blow your mind... a left-handed version. Which is actually quite considerate of them... not for the faint hearted ocd folk amongst us however hahaha...

Home again! Couldn't be happier :)
A beautifully made and rarely seen watch, particularly with the big date. (There are a few white dial, small date ones about - mostly in Japan and the Far East).
Edit: What has been really interesting is that for the last 10yrs or so it has been owned by a journalist for Fratello Watches - who did a bit of a review on it back in 2017; have to say, he has been a great chap to deal with.

I like this as all I seem to see by them are watches with Roman Numerals... which is my biggest watch turn off.

I like this with the indices as they are and the shape.

** Edit. I found the model number and it says it on the dial haha... number 8.

    Nice piece.

And I can JUST see the number 8 printed on the dial on the 8 marker on it to!
    If I squint!

    Cool!!!

That looks amazing TBH, especially for the price. I'd not previously noticed the logo on Rdunae watches - finally something that doesn't make me cringe (Steeldive, Tactical Frog, Heimdallr - I'm looking at you...).

So, I've always wanted one. Everyone seems to have one. They are getting crazy expensive. My local trusted dealer had this one for sale and a deal was done. I finally have one too.

Very nice indeed. I have been keeping an eye out for a nice example. Watches of Whitby have a nice tritium one with a faded serif insert which I keep going back to look at.

On fantasy island I think it would be a nice 1675 with a fuchsia bezel insert.

Thanks! I've been looking for one for a long time too. I like the 1675 as well, but I wanted a more recent watch that I don't have to worry about so much. This one is 1996 T<25 dial, could have gone with a more recent five digit version too. This is unpolished but just been serviced and has Rolex service warranty.

It also looks the spitting image of an IWC Pilot Chronograph. What a combo. :-) It is the perfect holiday watch or beater for little money, even though it has far too much IWC DNA.

There are several companies producing these silicone straps now.

North Street Watch Straps have their vintage rally. Watchgecko have their Zuludiver Tropical Regis, but I purchased this strap directly from the USA via Strapsco. It's their silicone vintage rally. They are easily the best value and they are nicely textured too just like the original 60's rubber rally straps. They are also dustproof:

    https://strapsco.com/product/vintage...r-rally-strap/

I had to upgrade the quick release spring bars to some of Watchgecko's latest 1.1mm bars at the tips. They fit nice and snug within the Sea Dweller's lugs. The perfect fit. They are also ideal for Seiko Tuna's and mm300's.

    No problem Chris.

I wear them on most of my diver's and chronograph's. The Seiko divers have the upgraded quick release spring bars set up.

I know I won't even be able to see that logo with my eye sight, hence ordering one.
