I can't tell you that because then I can't make a mahooosive profit when I list it on SC

They were doing a 20% off code so about £2,250.

I was set to buy a 5-year-old SBDX017 for around £2k then saw the SLA and decided it was no-brainer with the sapphire, ceramic bezel and touches of gold.

I still don't know if it will fit me but I think it should be OK. I can get away with chunky now and again.

I've had the SBDX017 and the SLA021 and I prefer the SLA021 by a distance.

I am a tart for the SBDX001 but I only ever notice MM or Prospex on the dial in pics. Never in real life, so don't see the big deal and prefer the upgrades anyway.

I had one in my basket after I replied to you and was hoping you had somehow managed to double dip two offers and I wouldn't be able to resist.

Missed this, thank you! Seems comparable in quality to my TAG from the same era and not far from my old quartz Seamaster either. Which I seem to recall buying the Omega rubber strap for, at a ruinous cost equal to about 8x what I paid for this watch (and the buckle was extra!)

    I don’t feel I am missing out much…

Respect! I'm sure you'll love it. Give your arm a day or so to get used to the weight but you can gaze in awe at the perfect dial and handset from the off. :)

That Tudor has really grown on me, at first I thought the indices should have been square but having lived with a bb58 for a while it looks quite normal now.

It's one of those watches that could really make the rest of your collection obsolete..

Completely agree. The QC on mine is poor - there's a noticeable white scratch on the dial and the bezel isn't aligned properly. The screw down action of the crown is very rough too. Back to Hodinkee it goes which is annoying given the faff of reclaiming the import fee.

Great pic of a great watch. The upgrades to the SLA really make it one of the best.

Thank you, very happy with it. Thought it might wear small for a 36mm but I don’t think it does. The 41 was way too big for me.

I looked at both yesterday. The 41 was massive and the 36 perfectly proportioned.

So was finally able to pick up one of these.

So my incoming isn’t the watch but the MBF Robotoy watch holder. Think these are just a great bit of fun and great build quality as well!

My new green Rado Captain Cook.

Very pleased with the quality, the green is a lovely deep emerald colour and fair pops in the sun.

This should take a brilliant photo as the dial is so nice but I haven’t managed to capture it properly yet… user error for sure but I am very happy with this one, big thanks to TTC
The bracelet is too small, I need just one link to get a fit, so on a Nato for now.

Finally pulled the trigger on this one. Literally been on my wrist 5 minutes. Only needed to remove one link from the bracelet to fit my heat swollen skinny wrist! I have been prevaricating about this one for 12 months or more!

Habring Foudroyante Felix in salmon. I love the texture and colour of the dial and the size is ideal:

I'll leave the owner to explain, but it's much much more unusual (unique?) than that. It's visually crazy.

I’m in two minds as well and getting a few didn’t help at all! The smaller one is great but the dial is quite busy so I feel the larger one just displays everything better but sadly the rose gold one only comes in the smaller size. There’s only 2mm difference between them. Larger ones for comparison:

Intrigued. 8 marks would tie to 8 beats per second on a typical 28,800 bph movement... is that little sub-dial spinning like mad with a rotation every second?
