This has a mix of brushed and polished surfaces, a bit like a Speedmaster. The polished surfaces look like steel - I've never seen titanium polished to such a level of shine before. The brushed surfaces look slightly less grey than ti usually looks - this may be a by-product of the hardening process which I don't know very much about? Apparently the ti used on these is harder/more scratch-resistant than usual.
I've been trying it out on different straps since I got it as you do, and I was surprised to find that it looked good on a nato. I guess it feels somewhere between a sports watch and a dress watch, and definitely isn't too shiny to my eye.
My Omega Speedmaster Sapphire Sandwich on a new Omega Bond Nato, fancied a change from the bracelet...

Thanks Pavel!
Just landed this Cheap n Cheerful Alpina GMT
OEM Canvas strap was underwhelming, but luckily I had an old Di Modell Chronissimo in the drawer.

It may be cheap & cheerful, but it's a very handsome watch IMHO. Looks very well engineered, as do many watches in the Alpina range, extremely good value for the money.

I have no idea, to be honest. I’ve only just started looking into the Flightmasters.
Mine is a 145.013 and if you google that model reference there are plenty of photos of ones with yellow hands, and mentions of the cadmium hands.
Here is an example... https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/br...vember-18-2016
Apparently, the red/yellow paint on the Chrono pushers also relates to the two colours of the Chrono hands available.
I've on and off been idly looking for the titanium 'bezel' version of this for ages, last week I got completion on my flat sale, walked past a shop window and this was in their second hand bit. It's my first ever gold watch. Really like it.
Just arrived.
Seems to be ticking away nicely, but it will be off to Brendan in the New Year for a service, new (hour) hand, etc.
Finally managed to snag a Casio Oceanus OCW-S100 at a price point I was comfortable with, looking forward to trying it out.
since last Friday

Casio G7900
I picked this up last night. Oris Big Crown Pointer Date in bronze.
Had one these previously and sold it quickly, hopefully I won’t be so rash this time
Lovely.

Edifice never seem to get much love on TZ, but I’m loving this new arrival.
Pleased to be reunited with this one that I sold in circa 2013

Just picked up this limited edition Anonimo (aren’t they all!), a Millemetri Trilogeo. One of 210 built to celebrate the testing of the Millemetri down to a depth of 2,100m. Anonimos used to pop up on the forum fairly regularly at one time but they are rarely seen now.
Just a quick update - the new strap and a temporary crystal (a Sternkreuz HW318) arrived for the Benson UG yesterday, the latter to keep the dial protected before it heads off to Brendan.
The Teju strap suits the watch pretty well I think, and it promises to be an attractive counterpoint to the Breitling that Brendan recently serviced/restored for me. I am liking the drilled lugs on the watch, and the more I look at the case the better the condition it appears to be in, with a lovely brushed finish to the case sides (whether original or through age and use) that contrasts nicely with the polish of the bezel and the lugs. At 35mm it is very wearable.
I have looked for a replacement hour hand but will have to rely on Brendan's encyclopaedic knowledge and connections to find a suitable one I think, as Ranfft tells me that a 1.32mm hand is required for the 138.
So far the watch is gaining perhaps a minute a day, which I find remarkable for a 50 year old watch with an unknown service history (there is some history, as there are the customary scratched service references to be found on the case).
Pretty chuffed with it to be honest.
There are others here far more qualified than me to answer that question, as my knowledge is gleaned from Google rather than experience!
What I can say is that the Universal 138 is what is known as a "bumper" movement - in fact the first in my collection.
Ranfft provides the more technical information: http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-...&Universal_138
Based on my scant research the 138 was the first iteration of the movement, with a sub-second dial. Other variations were then added including the 138C, which added a date complication, and the 138SS which had the sweep second hand. The 138SS was fitted to the original Polerouter, which subsequently changed to use the microrotor-powered 215 movement. All of this - and more - I found here: http://www.polerouter.de/frameset-movements.htm
