I sold my 2006 Superocean years ago so have been looking for the right one to replace it ever since. Haven’t really taken this off since it arrived from Neal in the week. Perfect size for me at 44mm and the downward curving lugs and thin case makes it wear extremely comfortable on the bracelet of rubber strap. It wears very similar to my 2500 planet ocean 45mm, which I also sold, so I’m very happy.

Edited to add, on the rubber strap this feels very Sinn like

That sits really well on your wrists Paul, would never haves guessed it was 44mm.

Thanks Ben, yes it wears very nicely for a 44mm case thanks to its shape and it was pretty much mint coming from Neal. I see your Seamaster is still looking as sharp as ever, love that dial.

I've been looking at the original Oris Sixty Five diver, with the sixties style arabic numerals for a while now. This reference was discontinued around six months to a year ago. I was looking at getting a secondhand one, when I found this new one still in stock at an AD with 20% off the old RRP. The dial is a bit marmite but I love it and the double domed sapphire is awesome.

Great catch and one I’m looking for with the same deal hopefully soon.

Didn't realise you have such chunky wrists, explains a lot of your watch choices Paul

Bought this back in February but only managed to get it sent over from the US last week. The crystal was so heavily crazed and stained that it was hard to figure out the condition of the dial, but have to say I’m pretty chuffed to find it in this condition. I reckon most of the loose stuff will brush off but I’m not doing that myself, and the V23 needs a service and some parts anyway so I’ll get my WM to do it. Only question is whether I clean out the hands and leave them as skeletons, or get them relumed to match the dial.

    I vote for re-lumed.
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

    Another Oris 65

I was also looking for an Oris 65 and had a WTB, but found one yesterday in a shop nearby also at a healthy discount. Another score for actual physical shops. It is the blue face model and getting very hard to find. It came on the tropic strap but I have put it onto a thick Di Modell strap which I already had and I think it is lovely.

Looks lovely. They are IMO a perfect combination of vintage characteristics in a new watch.

Very much looking forward to the next addition to the watch box - an AnOrdain Model 1 with blue fumed dial. I'm a sucker for a nice bit of colour and texture and this one looks like a proper work of art.

Awesome watches. Just don't think I could pull them off at their current size. I have a long term hope for some downsized options.

A MKii Cruxible Hellion landed today

First impressions are very favourable. Good size, good fit, excellent chunky crown, super legible, etc.

Now I have to decide if I keep this or the Navigator? Or both?

Well done, enjoy! I got fed up waiting & have withdrawn my interest, as was meant to be a celebration on selling my business.

Hoping a withdrawal helps boost the view I’m not a flipper & helps me get an Explorer for my wife’s 40th having been on the list for 3yrs...ideal is them locating a 39mm in a safe, as she prefers the larger model but I can’t afford the grey market.

Feels awful giving it 3yrs of planning without having to spend so much more than RRP. Can get to £7.5k but lost beyond that & after this I’m out of the brand to be honest given my sour taste.

Wife is understanding, but I feel I’ve failed.

Keep the MKII, it's a fabulous watch. I had a bead-blasted version and although it was great I always wanted the polished version. For me it's a better watch than the Navigator.

Very nice, John. I often think about getting a 910, if only to see how it sits different on the wrist to a 911.

I think Mr Curta is the man to ask, I think he has both
The 911 is a bit thicker but not by much, the domed crystal of the 910 might take a bit more looking after.

I completely share your frustration - as I'm sure many others on this forum. I too asked to withdraw my interest twice as I felt let down and not appreciated as a client over the years, but the manager insisted I should stay on so it's paid off for me. The game sucks though - don't like it, they know it, but I'd still maintain a relationship and hope the honesty comes through.

Birthday present to myself. Loving it - there's a lot more to play with than any other watch I own including my G-shocks.
