100%, I sent one away for sale on my behalf and asked for it back a week later!

Some classy looking watches here, well from the sublime to the ridiculous...ordered one of these last night, it was out of stock since early last year, featuring the rare, for Vostok, crimson second hand that extends all the way to the edge of the dial, can't wait...though obviously with shipping from Russia I'll have time for the sense of anticipation to develop,

No, I have not just celebrated three months without buying a watch by going and buying one. Honest! I saw it and couldn't really not have bid for it. Why? Well that should be revealed in the pairs thread once I have taken more photos at the weekend.

    Plus it is another electronic.

I was in Oxford Street with Bea today, and as I looked at an AD’s window display one of the sales guys started waving trinkets at me. A couple of glasses of champagne later and I had a new watch and a new mate. Very unplanned, but I really like it and don’t envisage moving it on.

I have to say I'm surprised that you've done that, BUT I've always had a soft spot for those (the wife literally hates TT/yellow gold... So no go for me) and knowing you too, I think it's a classic and perfect. I really hope it is a keeper.

Reminds me of this article https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.p...-a-Rolex-owner

Here was my one toe in that pool. Would have preferred the Sub.

I was thinking more that it's modern Rolex and mainstream. Your colouring and maturity suits gold well.

It's been interesting seeing your posts since your Jan SOTC. Jokes aside that is a lovely watch and refreshing to see it on an oyster bracelet.

Interesting choice. Mind you, I like it but surprised you did!
BTW, it is a very poor pic, even by your standards:-)
    Look forward to proper pics.

Well, I've always liked these - in fact, I bought one on here a few years ago, but it was faulty when it arrived so had to be returned to the seller. Anyway, it's a beautiful watch.

Agree about the photo, but it was dark at the time (I've replaced it above, and again below). I'm actually going to take some shots of a few recent incomings this afternoon and will put a post up later this evening

I wouldn't normally look twice at a TT SubC but if I was going to have one, I always thought that I'd go for the blue dial as the black dial looks underwhelming to me in pictures. That all fundamentally changed today. We are in Bahrain for half term and at breakfast today, a guy at the table opposite had a black dial TT SubC on. Absolutely stunning and it has completely changed my mind regarding two tone pieces. My girlfriend loved it too (this is high praise indeed). In the flesh, the black dial really works with the yellow gold and steel. Congrats Tony. I fear this may be another piece for the wish list.

I was similarly minded, actually, and it was the blue dial that was being waved at me through the window. I asked to try both on, though, and it took me a good 20 minutes or so to make the decision to go with the black.

I agree with you that the black dial just looks inherently right with the gold accents. I also find that I prefer the older blue dial with a sunburst finish; the current blue is a bit too deep for me to really like on this watch. All very personal and subjective, of course, and apologies if my highlighting of the watch causes some sleepless nights

As an aside, a guy sitting next to me in WoS was in a similar position, although I had first dibs as I got there a few minutes before him. Luckily he preferred the blue, so we were both happy.

Bought from manxdiver, a different take on the tuna. A lot lighter on the wrist compared with my SBBN031.

Haven't treated myself to a new watch for about 3 years, so while in Tokyo I have decided to see what all the fuss is about and snag a Grand Seiko. This is a Limited run of 390, and I can collect it on the 21st when they're allowed to sell them. The standard version is stunning, so I can't wait to get my hands on it!

I need to ask, is that red ring around the outside of the crystal actually a red line or is the crystal tinted, sort of like the Green Milgauss which gives a similar effect side on.

Stupid question I know, but if you don't know better to ask. I think it's superb by the way 👍

Not a stupid question at all - the honest answer is I dont know. The stores arent allowed to show the models until the 21st, so I havent actually seen it yet. According to the salesman, its a red ring, as opposed to the crystal being green, however the display back does have the red tinge to it.

Well, that's certainly a marmite one from GS. I'm sort of getting the face but the back is a step too far. A great collection piece 'though!

Very marmite and not for me but the chances of you bumping into or sitting next to someone on the train with one one is almost zero. Quite cool in that respect.

You're quick. I've only seen the ad for this a couple of days ago.

It's a good looking piece. I like a chronograph with 2 subdials and Sinn has pulled this one off very well.

Yup, it is that same one. The 158 looks great too. I was in two minds between them both but thought this being a really limited run of 150 would satisfy my need for something unique.

Could not find two better GS. How many years was the Snowflake their main offering and look now. They've come seriously far recently. Nice strap btw.

Bought this from SC, flipped before it arrived but regretted it and bought it back so picked it up for the first time today. Very nicely finished watch.
