Really lovely watch - not what I'd normally go for either, but I was drooling over them on C24 last week - lot of Cartier-Love around, quite infectious... Must resist...

I really should just get one.
I’d definitely recommend it. As you say, the hands, indices and bezel work so well. Plus drilled lugs and no crown guards. So much to enjoy there.

Picked this up today but can't wear it because the AD doesn't have spare links and Rolex think that all people have 7.5 inch wrists

That's not entirely true. They make the links removable, so they accept some people have less than 7.5 inch wrists too

Joking aside, do you get stuck with a bill for extra links in a situation like this or do they provides links to match your wrist size? I'm guessing the bill option

i did laugh at the first part of your reply,
No they don't give you them so i have to buy them, i have tried to find the model number of the links as i cant seem to find them anywhere i have looked so far. The AD doesn't have them in stock and will need to order them in. The Seamaster i just bought has plenty of spare capacity for my ape like wrists so i presume its because its stainless and gold so more expensive.

A wonky date showing a speck of the next number was one of the reasons (can't remember if the main one) why I returned an Orient. Twice, because the replacement had too many imperfections still.

Can't tell you guys how pleased I am with this buy, probably my favourite watch so far!

Actually really like the rubber band it came with, but i'll probably switch it over the bracelet tomorrow.

This came in on Saturday from SC - I've always been negative about cyclops lenses but I love the white face, the titanium hue and the Crafter Blue strap which makes it very comfortable on the wrist.

Looks great I too was very tempted with that but with a view to removing the cyclops
Cracking watch for the money, enjoy

To be honest, I didn't look at the photo.
Thought that the question was generalised, so answered it accordingly and based on my experience.
But unless its a PC about to change from February into March, then it is too early.

Nice. Quite fancy the yellow one.

I'll need to try one on as comments of it being top heavy are causing a pause

I had the same reservations due to the case design/depth and from reading reviews. I was gearing up to be disappointed but I'm more than impressed, yes a little top heavy and side profile looks a bit odd with the deep case back but I find the fit on my slim wrist spot on. I'm pretty chuffed with it.

After much trying, I've finally added a Helson Turtle 'Mango' to the collection, I had it shipped direct from Helson. It comes in the usual black leather watch roll with warranty card and shark mesh alternative bracelet (although I already have a Nato in mind for this). Quality is good, as I've come to expect from Helson (I have the Sharkmaster 300) and it's a fairly faithful homage to the Certina DS-2, which are just unobtainable beyond paying ridiculous money.

Now all I need is some sunshine to show the dial at it's best, but all we have today is gloom and heavy rain.

One of the Zinex old stock watches David was selling recently, this via Takethecannoli ... wears fairly well for 47mm, I think because the lugs are relatively short.

Has a strange fault which means it only runs with chrono going, v strange, never seen that before.

    Any love for the Cellini

Dress watches don’t seem to get a lot of love here, however I stumbled across this Rolex Cellini, a 4112/8, recently and loved it! Having sent it straight for a service (it appears to have sat in a drawer for around 20 years) it is finally back.

New strap is required, something black and shiny… odd lug width of 17mm and the original buckle is only 14mm! Any strap recommendations appreciated :)

From the moment watches were reclassified as "luxury accessories" I knew that Cartier was going to win that race. They have the horological clout and history but they also have style and proportion. You cannot go wrong with a Cartier today.

I just love brown shark. It works well with the matt of the titanium.

Picked this SD4K up from TKH just under 2 weeks ago, should have bought one years ago but at the time I chose the 114060 instead

    It's a fabulous watch, but I think I still prefer the 16600.
