My latest arrival - the 39.5mm version of the Omega Planet Ocean, with the 8800 coaxial movement.
I’ve been wearing big watches like Seiko Tunas for a while and it’s nice to go back to the more modest sizes I wore back in the 80s & 90s.
This one’s just a tad bigger than Eddie’s PRS-18Q & half a millimetre across the bezel smaller than the Rolex Submariner or PRS-82, I think it fits just fine on my 7.25” wrist - tried the 43.5mm but too tall and heavy, preferred the smaller version.

    Cheers,
    Steve

This is my first new watch for 10 years. A Farer Lander GMT. It arrived last week, during which is has lost only 4 seconds. I presume this is a fluke? Anyway accuracy aside, I like the happy, colourful design.

My second GS and it doesn't disappoint, a fantastic bit of engineering and impeccably made

aaaaaaaaaaaaa by Simon Gee, on Flickr

The LV looks tiny in comparison, it will be interesting to see how it fairs when I swap back in about a weeks time

I would keep the Rolex Simon ;)

On a serious note, two stunning watches and in particular the GS!

    I forgot about this one...

    Doesn't every collection need a G-Shock?

I got caught up in the recent GMW-B 5000 madness and started 'researching'. I decided the GW-5000-1JF was the one to have

Is that a tissot strap or from someplace else? I’d like a 22mm one for a skx011

Scurfa D1 ND blue arrived this morning. Blue dial on blue bezel on blue strap with blue lume! Much prefer it to the date version with yellow hands.

The Incoming / New Arrival Thread

Another Helvetia I’m afraid. In beautiful condition from late ‘50s/early ‘60s probably. I already have another one with the H.64 movement, which is decent quality, but the lovely applied numerals, with open 6 and 9, meant that I had to have this one. It needs a service as the amplitude is only just above 200 but running +10spd overnight is alright by me. A good size at 35mm. I’m thinking about the strap now, maybe green alligator pattern would work. I need to remove the little black flake just by the logo - the rest of the dial looks pretty well flawless to me.

I had to come back and add this picture of the movement, showing the Kif-Duofix setting for the escapement wheel and the Incabloc shock protection on the balance wheel.

That's lovely Jardine. I understand your sentiment, once you have had a GS they get under your skin and you find yourself researching the range of models they do wondering whether you need another.

My own original production Field Engineer, which serves as a testbed for modifications, and the latest one made, which has a very nice pre-production grey/blue teju strap on it and will soon be on the wrist of its Singapore based owner. I really like the right hand pic, partly because it’s in focus which the left one isn’t, but mainly because it shows the chameleon effect of the dial under colours and light.

Picked up this Heuer Camaro yesterday and have an Explorer II incoming too. Been on a bit of a spree recently but the itch well and truly satisfied now and my collection is much more rounded.

I have an incoming, I just haven't decided what it is yet! This is the best and worst part, excitement at incoming arrival, dread at the prospect of having to decide on just one to bring in... I've managed to shift 3 of my watches so keeping an eye out for something that really takes my fancy!

This has arrived while I’m away.
Had one a few years back nice to have in my collection a breitling chronometer longitude.

    A Nos watch beautiful.
Know to find a bracelet for it.

It's just part of the Hirsch performance range, leather skin with perforated rubber lining. This version is £69 retail. Has a Matt black buckle, but there's quite a choice.
    Transforms the VIP.

Haven’t had a GMT for a while and loving it.

It does glow a bit too after being out in the sunshine.

Not a great pic but this one is incoming - after much deliberation (Steinhart? Seiko? Push for an Oris?).

Just wanted a decent chunky divers that I could wear as a bit of a beater and this one really took my eye - particularly in the striking blue! Also solar powered so intruiging. They're issuing sumo and samurai versions later in the year, so this will tide me over til then!

Also have my homemade effort nearing completion - should be finished this week so will post pics when it's finished.
