Hey mate. We’re pretty similar skin tone so you can see that this new Green 300M Diver from Omega is going to look ace on your wrist Fred.

    Get it bought 😉

That’s true and I am tempted mate, however I am way over my quota and spilling out all over the place. Think I need to sell first.

A small inheritance transmutes into a watch I never thought I'd be able to afford, c/o of SC, and I am smitten!

Surprised how well it wears given the criticisms of its size from some quarters. Admittedly it's a 43.5mm model, not 45mm, but it wears smaller, and that despite being 16mm THICC... The curious date-adjustment is new to me, and while I can see the logic, it feels a step-back in time.

I even like the bracelet, which is rare, albeit I need to adjust it - which should be nerve-wracking given I'm accustomed to hardened-steel cases &c.

Overall, it's quite extraordinary - beats equivalent Rolex in every way except value-retention, and I'm fine with that - no way I could have afforded it otherwise!

    Love it!

Nice! Did you get it from Ocarat?

Edit crikey I just saw the offers at Stewarts! WTF! They also have the guilloche dial moonphase masterpiece at a discounted price and that is an absolutely phenomenal watch

Edit Edit just succumbed and ordered the blue hand/strap manual. Damn you for bringing this to my attention!

I came so close to ordering the blue one last night but went with the sliver hand model instead
I think Francis & Gaye are the one only AD now ?

I really wanted this model after I got to review one earlier this year

Nothing at-all wrong with the dial-side, but dear god that's a watch for wearing the wrong way round if ever there was one!

Doxa Sub 300 Searambler 50th anniversary Limited Edition

This arrived on Friday morning following a trade with Wandril. I always thought my first ever Doxa would be an orange dial. My first cushion dial case.

This lovely Citizen Cosmotron arrived on Friday. I think it has been tarted up at some point but it is really all about the dial.

Looks a bit better on the red strap though.

Currently gaining 8s a day which is pretty good.

Arrived today, 42mm but wears smaller I think. The 21mm lug width bund strap supplied was too small so I stuck it on a Ted Su 21mm custom job made for IWC Big Pilot 43 ... even the Hanhart buckle fits.

Bought from David@ he brought it round, was wearing the 39mm version, exquisite little thing oozing with character but far too small for me.

I keep looking at this model.
But worried that a 42mm case will be too large for my 6.75" wrist

Photo taken just after you had finished your street art? I always assumed I'd go orange too, but that white is nice and refreshing.

Back again. Three more Seiko Silverwaves arrived from Japan today.

    L-R A714-4010, 8229-6030 and A229-5050

All look better than they did in the sale photos but I am particularly happy with the A714. They came in two variants, a matt pewter PVD and the black PVD. Neither come up for sale often (a couple of times a year) but the pewter seems to come up more frequently. When a black one does appear they usually show a bit of wear as is often the case with PVD watches. This one looks like it hasn't been worn, not even a scratch on the crystal. Dead chuffed.

I suppose some of you maybe thinking the idiot is crowing about watches that don't even work and I can see where you are coming from. But hey, some of us like a little jeopardy so I am off to see which ones do fire up with a fresh battery. Wish me luck.

Cheers. Beadle and Hill is another Pequinet AD in the UK. I'll confess I'm not sure on the handset and will see it in the flesh when I'm back in the UK and make my mind up - suspect at the discounted price it would be easy to move on or return to Stewarts.

I really love the Rue Royale moonphase with guilloche dial and at £3.6k down from £6k looks amazing value but still just a tad rich for me at the present moment and may be a sod to move on if need be.

But looking at the movements if they got some decent marketing behind them they could probably add 50% to the RRPs and still provide reasonable value. These for sure are not inferior to Habring2 for example.

I picked this up at the weekend as my long awaited 40th birthday present to myself.

    IMG_1769.jpg

I originally tried the green dial and blue dial before trying this silver/white, which just felt right.

I am very pleased with the quality, finish and how comfortable it is.

That's certainly different, I like the steel and green combination, is it lumed?
Not sure I could get used to telling the time that way though.

That’s fun. What’s the lume like? I prefer the bracelet to the straps.
