So much, in fact, that I'm looking to get one of the new Bambinos as well. Too bad they don't make them with white dials anymore.

The cheapo field watch I got from Amazon turned up with a dead battery. I negotiated a 40% refund from the seller, stuck a new battery in and it's now fine. With the refund it cost me less than £20. Case is decent, dial is nice and plain, crystal is advertised as sapphire and I can't see any reason to doubt that. The strap was garbage so I've stuck it on a Nato I had. All in all I'm happy :)

    New arrival.... Omega Seamaster

Greetings all, new member here. Here's my most recent acquisition, received about two weeks ago.

I fell for the dial, its orange color and patina, but I'm wondering if it isn't too manly for me.... trying to get used to it.

Strangely enough I almost feel more comfortable with a larger tool watch.

    Best regards,
    S

I had no idea you could get a silver Sumo! I thought it was just black, blue and orange.

    Looks great.

There are a few Limited Editions floating about, mostly out of Thailand. Some crazy colour combos out there! I saw a 50th Anniv. edition (green/gold) going for 1500usd!

Maybe it's the angle, but dare I say it looks a little big for your wrist?

Still, if you're happy with it, what's it matter what I think - Nice watch

Thanks so much Windows95, I'm working to get used to it, a different strap might help:)

This Edox Delfin is my latest arrival, really thrilled with it. I love this styling and have been chasing a decent one for ages. This one came with some scratches on the plexi that took me fifteen minutes to solve using polywatch. It even has the caseback sticker still on! The brushwork is also amazing and like new.

Love the styling, the thick raised markers, the beautiful blue sunburst dial and that amazing plexi on top! Last picture shows it pre-polywatch. lots of dust on the pictures but the sun is gone so hard to take new shots :-)

Picked this up cheaply off the 'bay, it's been polished and I suspect the dial has been refinished but for the price I paid I don't care. Clearly of it's day (1970's?) the TV dial and silver sparkle are bonkers but not without their own kind of charm. It's small at 34mm (ex. crown) but seems to wear bigger. Nevertheless, I can see it ending up in my wife's drawer.

After seeing the GV recently, I realised that I missed mine after I sold my first one all those years ago so a drive down to Maidstone and here it is. Tried the Blue but did not bond, but never know for the future.

I was offered this on the eve of a special family achievement/event, so in one of those self-justifying moments. decided that it was meant to be:

It's a 6263 Daytona from 1972. Lovely condition, as you can see. Here's another view of the dial:

I've never really wanted a modern Daytona, but I'm very pleased with this old thing.

Absolute stunner John and much more subtle than the modern ceramic Daytona. I saw an almost identical watch listed by the forums favourite dealer UKWatchSpecialists in North Wales and Mike Wood announced that he had an old Daytona coming in, but as usual it sold before it was even listed. Was it either of these, yours looks identical to the Wales watch which is still pictured on their site and is also 1972.

Enjoy, you have a true investment piece there - even if people tell us never to invest in watches.

No it's not either of those watches. It came courtesy of another forum member. You can probably work out who!

Just looked at the UKspecialistwatches on, and it does indeed look very similar. They don't give you a lot of confidence though...it says it's from 1972 and 1976 in different places, the receipt is for a 1680 and they tell you what a great investment it is by referencing a completely different watch that sold at auction for a fortune! Looks like it's sold though.

This new Bulova Moonwatch SE arrived yesterday.

Still in the box and stickers as it's a present for my son - £314 from HS Johnson delivered free in 2 days, so kudos to them as well. I'm very pleased with the quality; lovely solid feel, nice finish to the case, soft but satisfying click to the pushers and the smooth sweep of the chrono centre seconds hand is cool as well. Thankfully a little big for me so no risk of keeping it :)
