I'm totally with you on that, however the bezel I took off was a service replacement probably less than a year old so it'll be a while before that fades.

Black Friday pick-up from Spinnaker, arrived yesterday. I’m quite pleased with it...

I've seen a few Spinnakers and never thought very much of them, but that's really nice. A lot of microbrands tend to get one or more design elements badly wrong, but everything about that is spot on. The hammered dial texture is really cool and gives it a lot of extra depth.

My only niggle is a personal aversion to Mercedes hands on anything that isn't a Rolex. I am slightly tempted to pick one of these up and try to source some Sinn/B&R-style pilot hands to mod it. I think those could work well with the numerals (which I really like a lot), as long as they match in proportions etc.

That is an absolute stunner. They look great when everything mellows evenly. Far nicer than a newer sterile one. Great catch.

On that is nice, those plots are ageing beautifully. What year is it? I see the bezel pip is not following, is it a replacement? Great watch.

Agreed on the SD, absolutely lovely.

I’ve got this coming from Belgium. I’ve had my eye on it for a while but decided to buy it today to celebrate getting a new job. It’s a 38mm watch with a landeron 48 movement. Just love the way it looks.

Dial is signed ‘Tollet’ which is amusingly similar to ‘Toilet’

Thanks for the nice comments on the seadweller
Its a 91 and the pip looks a bit lighter from photo but is same colour to the eye.
It was one of those watches that you unwrap and think wow so well pleased and I don't need to worry about marking it as its got the distressed look already.

I think this might just be the nicest watch I’ve had so far... oyster bracelet, smooth bezel Datejust 126200. 36mm is perfect in my eyes.

It is a winner all the way.
The charm of T dial 5 digit Rolexes!
The pip being lighter shouldn’t detract in any way.

just bought this on ebay. I'd never heard of Anker before but really liked the look of it (it was described as a panda but not sure if it counts if the sub dials aren't round)

In Tony’s case, just over 10x that. Which was competitive by today’s dealer/eBay standards.

I am really impressed by the quality of the SBBN031! It feels as special on the wrist as previous divers that I’ve owned including a Pelagos and 14060.

Beautiful watch and I couldn’t agree more on size. 36mm-40mm is where I’m happiest. A bit bigger can work (Turtle and Tudor BB in my worn regularly rotation) but really those 4mm are great for my 16cm wrist.

I sometimes envy those with the ability to carry off a bigger watch with aplomb but then think about all those lovely older watches that go for less money while still, looking amazing. Like yours

I've been very restrained recently, not having bought anything since August but in a quest for spares I bought this:

The trouble being that it is in better condition than the one that needs the spares so I don't want to break it up. The broken one is still broken and I'll have to splash out again for the spare part. Failed WIS logic there.

The quest for spare parts also introduced me to Yaphoo Japan and Buyee which lead to another prime example of slightly dodgy WIS logic. I bought this battered green dialled Seiko, the logic being that I could bundle the two together and it wouldn't cost me any extra in postage.

I only bought it as I don't have a green dial. It needs a fair amount of attention so it is another project watch. At the time of purchase I neglected to consider the other two project watches I have had sitting around since last winter.

And one last one. I couldn't let it go for under £50:

Definitely worth the punt. Beneath the scratched plexi the dial, hands and lume are in lovely condition, as is the bezel. It runs a bit fast but, surprisingly, has a power reserve just shy of 48 hours. So a bit of rework on the crystal and it should be lovely. Hang on, that makes it another project

    Had this delivered on Saturday.

Orient Kamasu, 42mm, in-house 22 jewel, hacking movement, sapphire crystal, 200 meters water resistance and less than £200!

The bracelet has a flimsy clasp and the crown is small and fiddly but at this price, who cares.

The dial colour is teal green but doesn't show too well in my picture. I blame the light.

To my mind this is an underrated version of Seamaster. Tried this on and the dial colour and contrast with the bezel is stunning. I was swayed by the new bond ltd edition but seeing this again makes me think !
