Thanks, was a bit of an impulse buy, model number SBSA061, limited to 500 pieces, comes on a bracelet but swapped it over to a Barton Bands strap as soon as I unboxed it.

Indeed, here he is in orbit wearing it

    From the Spacefacts website.

What is more, being a Luftwaffe office we was also issued a Tutima Bund. He gifted this watch to his fellow crew member Viktorenko, who later auctioned it, claiming that Flade wore it on board. He did not, the PVD Sinn is clearly seen in all pics of him, and his other wrist is empty.

Thanks Dave, that has filled in a couple of blanks and led me down another rabbit warren.

He's wearing something on the other wrist in these mission photographs, looks like a black dial, gold case and brown leather strap. Probably a Smiths

Mrs Weasel went shopping today and returned home with a surprise gift for me.
I once mentioned that I want a fitness watch but not one of those band thingy me bobs. Anyway, what a nice surprise. She said it's the new model and thought as it's got Tag Heuer on it you will wear that!!
I did ask if it manual wind, and what the power reserve is? She just shrugged her shoulders and said you need to charge it!!! Hahaha she's a keeper.

^ Nice one Mick, you’re a lucky man. I was really close to buying one of these from SC recently but decided against it as I was an iPhone user. I’m swapping back to android now so may rethink.

A bit late now but my latest incoming and a definite keeper. Absolutely smitten and the blue on the dial for me is mesmerising.

Arrived today with half a dozen straps following a WTB for a submersible. Reference 01055, Limited Edition of 500.

It wasn’t what I had in mind and the green may be a bit Marmite, but I really like it.

No idea what the other one was but an '80 non-oval Fatboy is too good an opportunity to pass by and that one is a cracker.

Still my favourite watch overall. Enjoy it.

Thanks Ian, really impressed with it so far. Does everything I need.
The strap is just so comfortable, and the watch head is light even being 45mm it wears smaller to me.
Only downside is battery life, but saying that it does last all day and the GPS is very accurate. Definitely take a second look if you move back to Android.

It's fresh out the box so early days but first impressions are of fabulous build quality and attention to detail. The bezel engravings are lovely and the dial is exceptional.

First Citizen and solar powered watch. So far so good. The Eco Drive seemed more sensible as a weekend/holiday/grab and go alternative to a cheap mechanical. When not in use I can just leave it on the bedside cabinet.

Apologies for the slightly blurry image.

Thanks, I've worn it for 2 weeks straight which is very unusual for me and the well-chuffed feeling has not diminished one jot. I almost went for the U50 but the only one they had in stock was the all black DLC version which wasn't my cup of tea,. The bead blasted steel with tegimented bezel version would have been a 12 week wait, but I don't think I could have justified buying another diver anyway (even to myself!)

    Cheers

I had a look at the u50 also after reading a review on hodinkee. Very nice watch. However I decided to add the tudor bb58 blue instead. I much prefer the hands on the 556i compared to u50. What size is it? That’s good that that you have bonded so well with it. I can understand why you haven’t taken it off.
