Got a used Sinn U1 on the rubber strap waiting for me at home. Currently travelling and not home until next Sunday so the wait continues. Next task is to find a SS bracelet for it, ideally a used one.

    My first ladies watch!

Unlikely to stay though as it's just a tad too small.

As a recent Snowflake acquirer (!) I congratulate you. They’re really quite stunning.

I have a less subtle Seiko making its way to me for holiday season: a “Save the Ocean” Samurai. I really like the substantial size, the angular lugs and that amazing dial, so here’s hoping we bond...

2nd one is actually colourful C7 Chrono. Great ETA movement inside.

2nd one is quartz, it’s called the c60 Matisse. The first one is called the Charlotte. The 60 stands for the 60 diamonds round the bezel. New one is 35.5mm

The dial on this is mesmerising in the sunshine, all sorts of different shades, colours and textures I'm liking it a lot!!
The photo makes it look big because of the angle, it's only 42mm

I think the one in photo is the El Primero classic cars model though I thought it was a 42mm diameter.
There is an El Primero 1969 at 38mm-very nice it is too and is on my list.

Ye there was a rangerover LE that used the same alloy as in the car on the dial somewhere. This might be it - not sure.

Yes it is the classic cars model and 42mm. Don't think this model is available in any other size but I think it wears nicely. It's a relatively thin watch for a chrono

I had no plans for buying a new watch, but then a guy local to me wanted to sell his Tag for a decent price and I decided to go for it. It's my first Tag ever, but it's a one I've always kind of liked, the Carrera Twin Time. This is the newer 41mm model. I'm looking to replace the slightly worn gray strap with a brown one.

This turned up yesterday - Citizen AW1410-08E. I was tempted to get its titanium big brother, the BN0118, but I was after a pretty cheap holiday watch/beater and it didn't make sense to me to upgrade, I'll probably spend some of the saved money on straps anyway :)

Rather annoyingly, there's something _under_ the crystal below the centre point which is going to drive me crazy. Have emailed Citizen UK to figure out if they want to fix it, or if I should get a replacement from Amazon.

Update: Citizen didn't want to get involved, a replacement turning up from Amazon tomorrow - gotta love their return/replacement process.

Last edited by threescoops; 2nd August 2018 at 13:50. Reason: Add note that Citizen referred me back to Amazon.

Fresh in today from SC, now for the usual trying all different strap options...

  44. #5444

    Breitling Aerospace Evo Silver Dial

This landed today, very happy with it and a being a limited edition it makes up for the sellers regret I had selling my last Evo to a friend a few years ago, the dial is a very subtle shade of silver, in most pictures and even on the wrist you could be fooled into thinking it's white but it's a very light shade of silver that plays with the light quite a bit depending whether it's natural or artificial light.

Not much else to be said about this watch as it's pretty well known in these parts, some consider the super quartz movement heresy but I appreciate the technology and the astounding lack of +/- seconds per year, it's just a very comfortable grab and go model that you just know is always accurate.

The first & second pictures are the best I could get that captures the silver hue of the dial.

    Just arrived this morning.
Initial thought is what a great watch for the money. I think Seiko have really done an excellent job. May well look at getting the "golden" too on the back of this one.
Wears very well, light (compared to my 8500 PO I had on). Great strap. Blue colour is different from the usual black, with nice wave black dial. I much prefer this style of hands to the new ones.
    Sorry for crappy photo.

    Vratislavia Conceptum “Astronauta”

Bought from SC from Nuisance Value (thanks). However for once, this isn't for me. My son wanted a Speedmaster Moon watch, until I pointed out that The Royal Bank of Dad was currently not lending that sort of cash!, so he settled on this. And very nice it it too.
