Very nice. I used to collect Aviastar's and the black model was always my favourite.

    Eddies latest, the Precista B-Uhr ( number 50 )

This watch really feels special on the wrist! Love how the internal AR reacts with the blued hands.

Thanks to Ryan, and my patience waiting over a month to open the box and wear the watch!
Took me an absolute age to remove a couple of links as the screws are soooo tiny!

    Transfer Deadline Day ...

I was fortunate to get a heads-up from an AD on a Basel 2016 Yacht-Master 116621 in Everose / Chocolate.

My AD contact is on vacation until later this week, when we had planned to complete the deal over a glass or two of champagne.

However, the price rise announcement brought this to the top of my to-do list.
Thankfully, I was able to rearrange some work commitments, and I collected this beautiful piece today :

It is as pretty as the Basel publicity shots suggest, and makes a nice change to the usual choice of white/black dial.

I considered that one for a while.Didnt go for it in the end as it didn't have the full set but that was offset by the rolex service with new glass and bezel . I can see from photos from that you have got yourself a cracker.Well done.
I got one 2 weeks ago and love it.
    Enjoy

    This arrived today

I actually quite like it. The strap isn't great quality but I'm sure I've probably got a suitable nato for it somewhere!

So I've been less than restrained this year - my incoming count so far this year is a total of 6...

    1. Panerai 00156 Luminor GMT Regatta Laureus Special Edition

    2. Certina DS Action Titanium Diver

    3. Seiko SRPA21K1 Prospex PADI Special Edition ‘Turtle re-issue’

    4. Seiko SRP641K1 Prospex ‘Baby Tuna’ (currently with Seiko UK as it arrived damaged)

    5. CJR Airspeed Pilot Regulator (a Kickstarter watch that arrived yesterday)

    6. Bulova 96B251 Special Edition Chronograph Moon Watch (arrived today)

I really need to slow down a bit - my idea was that I would try and cut down the number of watches I have... well, that hasn't worked because in the same period I've only sold three!

Waiting for someone to call me out for buying a Tag as my new beater :P

Definitely not the best value watch I've ever bought, even with 30% off, but it's decently finished for the price, the sunburst dial is very nice, and the lume is excellent, with green tips on the hands and pip whilst the rest is blue.

Well it's here and I'm so far impressed
Lovely watch and I keep on noticing different finishes on the dial the more I wear it.

I have two watches that were complete impulse buys on the way! Very cheap and cheerful but with real appeal!

I've just paid for this 1971 Lord Matic Special, a watch worthy of the adjective I think!

28,800 movement with handwinding and hacking. Case is only 36mm but for me that's into medium-sized. I never wear a bracelet, so I've a nice deep brown with white stitching leather strap coming too.

I can't decide which is grabbing my attention more, the brown two tone dial, or the extraordinary indices:

When it arrives, lots of photos and a thread of its own, I think.

That looks great. I'm increasingly tempted by a vintage Eterna but that would do very nicely. What does it wear like and how well made does the bracelet feel?

Wow. That's really very nice. How does the chrono subdial work with the minutes just going up to 30?

That's a good question - I've just started it to find out!

There's actually two hands and two sets of units on the sub dial so I am assuming it does go higher than 30 minutes

It is very comfortable and seems very well balanced. Size is not too big. Bracelet is excellent quality (very nice butterfly clasp, screw pins).

I would assume the larger hand counts minutes and the smaller one the hours, but was just wondering what happens to the 'second' half hour in an hour since the minutes only go up to 30. Perhaps the hour hand moves in half hour increments?

It's does indeed. At thirty minutes the smaller hand clicked to half way between the 12 and 1.

Most chronos with three subdials have a 30 min subdial, and a 12 hour subdial eg

This just has them on top of one another

Thanks for the information. I haven't had a chrono in the collection in 6 years or so (and barely used the chrono function when I did), so my knowledge is severely lacking :-). In my mind a 60 minutes subdial seemed the most logical choice.
