Finally got the opportunity to collect the LV.

Very happy with the look and there’s enough difference with the 124060 to warrant both in the camp.

They also had the glorious mint dial Skydweller in to try on. I have to say I was very smitten and would definitely be interested in the future.

My little 55 year old Supercompressor, incoming after a service by Simon Freese, who was a pleasure to deal with.

I was lucky enough to have another arrive this weekend and one that I've been waiting a while for - the Anniversary FF. I had to sell a few watches to accommodate this but I'm glad I did. I've been waiting for a model that's in between the 40mm and 45mm versions for quite a while. This one is perfectly sized to my eyes. I could do without the date and a bit less text on the dial but I still love it.

I missed out on the 42mm anniversary FF, great to see one on the forum. You are a lucky man. Give me a shout if you ever move it on. ;-)

Enjoy the new LV, looks great. Do you know if it’s the Mk 1 or 2 bezel? I think it’s the latter…

I’ve yet to see the new Mint dial Skydweller on the Oyster bracelet as they’ve all been on Jubilee.

Thank you and I will do :). Hopefully there will be some more 42mm versions coming soon for you. I think the Anniversary Act 3 will be a new Ocean Commitment model - could be in 42mm, you never know.

That’s one of the best looking releases in recent years, a few tweaks could make it perfect.
I like the solid lume polts, these are becoming more common which I think is a good thing.
Does it have the Blancpain script on the side?

Unfortunately it does! You don't notice it too much on the wrist though. You're right, drop the date and delete a couple of lines of text and it'd be spot on to my eyes. The BP Only Watch this year is a blue version of this but with the just usual dial text - it looks great. If BP released a model with this case size, the standard FF dial, on a bracelet with date and no date variants, they would do very well. They seem to be happy with keeping the smaller case sizes limited though.

Thank Gareth. It's almost certainly a mk1 due to when I purchased it (12th April). If it is a mk2 then it must be one of the first released.

Looking previously at comparison pictures on TRF I thought it would be very easy to tell, but as with most bezels and dials, they change depending on lighting.

Either way, I'm happy with whatever it is.

Finally got my hands on the Minase Divido Ryan brought into the country and sold some years ago.
I saw it then but couldn't make it work.
When Steve 'thebuffoon' put it up for sale I had to have it.
I've not had a chance to get the gorgeous (complicated!) bracelet onto it yet, which I believe is the star of the show, but I'm absolutely LOVING the purple dial.
Everything about it is over engineered just because they can. Totally unique and it's also lovely on rubber too, which is very comfortable.

Worn on Friday night to a river cruise

    and then to Wimbledon yesterday

It better not get too used to the high life, though, cos it'll be an office desk diver like the rest too...

What a beautiful thing that Minase is - drooled over it every time it made an appearance on SC, but then I discovered the Seven Windows and transferred my Minase-related lusts!

Very true as it’s hard to tell when light plays it’s part to your pics. I “think” a few Mk 2 bezel LV’s have filtered through but most are still the darker Mk 1 bezel.

Great watch so enjoy it mate.

    Fabulous watch

    BUT

Get it put on the bracelet. It is a work of art. It may bamboozle your watchmaker so maybe show him/her the youtube video on link resizing.

The way the bracelet 'flows' as a result of how they've tailored the links to jut out a bit and create a ripple effect is unbelievable. And until AP hoiked prices last year the Minase bracelet cost more than a replacement AP Royal Oak bracelet due to the sheer amount of engineering and hand polishing.

    Sundays purchase just arrived!
Surprised I managed to get one in the melee that the opening of online ordering usually occurs.
It looks fantastic and will size bracelet when time allows.

New Christopher Ward Atoll just arrived. Looks superb but will be returned for another as the bezel has a lot of horizontal play in it.

To add to the SLA porn posted above, this arrived with me a couple of days ago. One I have long pondered and come very close to buying several times (last time, when the last new ones were in dealers), but I always wanted to see it. Bitten the bullet and glad, the blue dial is magnificent. I have the SPB 55th Anniversary and it really is a marked improvement in watch and really is like a GS in finishing. The GS Diver they never made…
