The patina is there 100% of the time, for the occasional time you need to know the time in the dark, use your phone. Lovely watch , well done.

Was £80 the watchmakers cost, or did that include the dial? (surely not). More photos! Again, sorry if I missed a thread on this.
    Hi,

Apology for such a short and casual post.
    Here is the detail.

Watch was brand new Sapphire Sandwich bought from Goldsmith with 9% discount + free Seamaster adjustable clasp and a single end link.

Dial is the actual Mitsukoshi dial and hands are Silver Snoopy hands but I have specially requested for the original white sub dial hands for better legibility.
The bezel is Pulsating bezel which was originally designed for the measuring pulse rate.
All the above items were sourced from John @ Swisslimitededitions.com.
He is really nice guy to deal with and total cost of parts was about £1300.
I then took the watch to the watchmaker in central London and he did it for £80+vat.

All in all, I am more than thrill with the final outcome.
I know it isn't the cheapest route I took but after several days debating whether or not I should use Hesalite or Sapphire, I decided to go with sapphire.

Having own both the original and Mitsukoshi, I have to say the latter is by far the nicer watch. The dial is so mesmerising and oozes quality whereas Speedmaster Pro is nice good looking toolwatch.

    Best

    Mark

Picked this up today. Not sure why a large percentage of the forum don't like the ST. But in person, probably the best decision I have made. The Snoopy strap just finishes it off. Well happy.

My father in law bought it at an auction in Bolton and it wasn’t working. He took it straight to this guy ..... 2 months later the repair delivered it and set it up. Father in law very happy ..... think the repair was about £650. He paid a paltry £500 for the clock. Think he took a gamble as at that price they usually for parts only, but has ended up with a bargain

Looks good mate. I wouldn’t say it’s a large percentage. Unfortunately it’s much easier to be negative than the reverse.

Enjoy, looks like it was worth the trip!

The ST got a bit of bad press at the time due to the instant flipping of it and a lot of members had got them due to a generous heads up by a member.
The watch itself looks great imo(especially on snoopy) but does have a little bit of legibility issues with the hands on the background I found.
Well done on picking it up.Was this Scooby's?
I think these are decent value at not too big a premium for a nice LE.
Others will say its a lot for essentially a Speedy.
It also looks great on a bracelet

My Samsung doesn't capture colours very accurately, but these two aren't unrepresentative of the various shades the dial can seem

Jo you will love the prs36 cushion case.I wear mine a lot and it looks great on a wide variety of straps.Value for money is outstanding;the only watches i have seen of this type from British brands are Farer for nearly £1000 and Fears Brunswick which is over £2000 .And a Rolex Cellini would cost ?????

Also not helped by the fact that both the blue and white dials can look terribly flat and lifeless under AD lighting.

What makes this watch especially appealing to me is that the dial is full of depth and interest, the readability is always immaculate and the case is almost entirely brushed - I wanted something practical, that it could wear daily without worrying about, say, polished centre links, without finding the hands disappearing, and yet always delightful to look at.

Remember that when it comes to Time Factors there is no "they", it's all Eddie.

    According to this page https://www.timefactors.com/closed1.htm:
Ordering opened at 1400 hrs 6 Oct 19 and closed 45 minutes later when 181 orders had been received. It would normally take 2.5 weeks to ship this many orders but I'm not sure how long it will take working at a reduced level. Ordering will re-open when all orders have been shipped.
So we'll be able to buy again as and when Eddie is ready.

Any reason why it has a Handley Page Victor on the dial?
Seems strange to have a UK nuclear bomber on a Russian watch. After all it was Russia they were designed to attack.

Strange indeed! Given the blue grid beneath it, could it be an insignia from a Soviet air defence unit?
