Never seen one of those before James. It looks complicated and I was expecting to see numerous crowns but there’s only one. Is it straightforward to set / use?

Many thanks - the watch was overshadowed with messing with the interchangeable bracelet on the 1901! But now I'm focused on the actual watch I am very impressed! I'll try and do a detailed incoming thread over the weekend.

Looks great Raj, congrats! Though you'll have the tz-uk mafia condemning you with a leather strap on a diver

This is the second one my AD has had in just over a year, not many around.

It its simple to set, took a few minutes but you have an independent hour hand and the inner discs rotates on the 3rd crown position to get the Worldtime set.

At 43mm its bigger than I normally go for but wears well on the strap.

Dial looks great, in some lights it’s really matt black but catch it at the right angle and the sunburst finish really shines through

Best-looking watch I've seen in a good while (and there's some stunners recently ITT), and I love the choice of strap - what a combo

Thanks guys. It is a looker for sure. Purists may not approve of a leather strap on a diver but let us be honest, the only contact my watches have with water is when washing hands:-)

That's lovely. I love the lugs on that. Super retro. How does the quality stack up vs asking price?

As earlier, this week saw the arrival of the alkin Model 2, a 300m WR internal-bezel diver from the Bristol-based brand. Here is my one, the black dialled version, received on Weds.

I really like it, the quality of execution is excellent, making it very good value.
I love the simple, no-nonsense competence of this watch, an approach many can learn from.
And yet the details are there, when you look closer. Sandwich dial, case texturing, the flat rotating bezel.

Thank you. It only comes with the bracelet (which looks very nice, but is not for me) so I put it straight onto a Watchgecko strap I bought heavily discounted on their Ebay listings a week or two back.

I really like the look of that, it ticks quite a few boxes including a sandwich dial and internal bezel and even a full lume dial on the other variant. I'll have to add that to the wish list.

I am not surprised, it looks great. I have been waiting for the first one of these to arrive on the forum. I have always liked the originals and this looks very faithful to those. Congratulations!

Tag Heuer Carrera Limited Edition Montreal

This is the Carrera 160 Years Anniversary LE, Montreal. I generally don't like Tag Heuer, but fell in love with this as soon as I saw it, and had to have it. When it arrived I was initially not sure about the relatively small size, as it is only a 39mm case, but now I have been wearing it a bit it is my favourite. It really sparkles in the daylight. Apologies for the water droplets on the crystal!

The dial is black - it has a sunburst finish which makes it look grey in some lights. Really happy with this, had wanted a 36mm Explorer but finding one at the right price condition was challenging and I this at retail was really good value and a bit of a no-brainer

I have the warm watch glow today after picking up my DJ41 this morning.
Checked again I wanted the Oyster as I had a choice but it was an easy win after early Jubilee thoughts.

    Happy Sunday boys and girls.

The fabric strap is a bugger to adjust correctly imo but apart from that I'm very happy with it. Very very good lume.
