Very nice; bezel looks particularly sharp - is it new or just well looked after?

Thank you Tony. It is actually a 14790. I find that the AP RO range tend to wear much larger than the case dimensions, on paper, would suggest. I have tried a 15300 and found it too large. Whereas, a 14790 is just about perfect. Wears very similarly to a 5711 or a 40mm Rolex sport model. I really am rather taken with it.

Thank you. It is 16 years old (semi vintage!), but the case is super sharp. Evidently, it has been very well looked after.

Absolutely!! I loved mine for the year I had it but felt they really were very vulnerable to the most minor knock. I know some do wear as a daily but I'd really struggle as feel it would get marked too quickly and easily.

    Take care!

wow! Please post some more pics and your impressions!
Did you already use it in combination with some apps?
    what smartphone do you have?

  12. #962
Hi, first impressions are very positive, it looks great and is very light. I'm using it with a Huawei P8 Max but it works with any Android phone. It's the only smartwatch I would consider wearing as nearly all the others look and feel like toys, whereas this looks like a proper watch running processors and RAM instead of wheels and cogs.

Some more pictures for those that are interested:

I am using several apps, including an app to control my lighting, Sonos music system and home security CCTV. Because it is running Android Wear, you have access to thousands of apps from the Play Store and more are being updated to be Wear compatible every week.

Last day in Thailand, my toddler son was hospitalised with a now resolved high fever, was browsing the local horological stores to see what I could get to commemorate, this very well made piece stood out and for just over £600 it is now mine. Don't know much about it other than its a Tuna and model is SBBD035

It's a lot better made than my crappy iPhone pic shows and is extremely good value IMHO.

If anyone knows anything about the model it would be good to learn more - it said 50th anniversary in the promotional material surrounding it in the store

How is it going, expecially in relation with battery life?

Just taken this, brand new, as a part trade from my local AD, more out of curiosity than anything else but we'll see how it goes.

Not everyone's cup of tea, but first impressions are good. it's a Limited edition of 669 with this dial, which I didn't realise until I got home and found the certificate in the box, it's very comfortable, and the build quality is immense...

Quite impressed with battery life, full day no problem with 35% left end of day. I'm really enjoying it actually, getting almost daily comments, mostly favourable. Favorite was today when I got a text, colleague said she just thought it was a normal watch, never realised it was a smart watch.

I got a great deal on this from my local AD yesterday, unfortunately I didn't get on with the stock strap so I have put on a Hirsch strap that I had in my draw:

Nothing special, but I like it.

Any tips and tricks on how to set the second hand accurately?

It confused me for a while it's a "Zinex ME109S Pilots Watch" but Zinex don't exist, so it turns out that Zinex became Zixen after some copyright battle thing.
It's a limited edition with a rather cool lume.

I got this today, I am pretty happy.

I always worried it would be far too big and heavy but had to eventually try one and guess what? It probably is ;) but still very happy

Wanted one of these for a while and liking it so far. It's now on a rubber Bonnetto Cinturini so will whether that's the right combo.

I'm a sucker for old Chronographs. This is a decent size for something for the 1950's. Lovely watch for not a great deal of money

Walking through the shopping centre a couple of weeks ago I spied the jewellers had one of these in.. (they did ring and tell me but I'd forgotten)

Went in, tried it on, loved it as much as I did when I saw it released at Baselworld, talked money, reached a deal, bought it. Really happy with this..

Purchased yesterday to replace my old SO44, the new SuperOcean II 44. Absolutely stunning piece IMO, and quite an improvement over the old one, complete with BEZEL PIP.

    Cheers.

Yes that's the one. Watches like this show you don't need to spend a fortune to have a bit of fun and get something nice.

    My newest arrival

    Longines HC 2016.jpg
My new Longines Hydroconquest. 39mm, quartz, my new holiday watch.
It looks like I have been fortunate in that I appear to have managed to get the bracelet to fit first time.
