Thread: The Incoming / New Arrival Thread

I never needed micro-adjustment for the majority of years wearing a watch - until someone invented it, and then...
It's just a matter of time...

I know this has been said a number of times, and debated before, but in terms of value for money for the level of quality/workmanship I don’t think you can beat Grand Seiko.

They are certainly on the way up in respect of brand awareness and I feel in time they will compete with the bigger boys like Omega etc for market share.

In summary this is a stunner.

That fantastic, had one in the window at the AD in Glasgow, but didn’t try it on as I knew I would want to buy it!

    First this one landed

Then this one the next day

The tudor was overshadowed by the omega
The omega is very dressy and the theatre of the box presentation is superb
But ive worn the tudor every day since it arrived
Got to get the aged patina going
Now what was i saying to my wife about her overspending

I've spoken to a few AD's and had a couple of 'positive' responses based on buying a couple of watches from them in the last few months.

I sold my 2017 SubC date to Watchfinder in June. Don't regret or miss it as such (well perhaps a little) but really want the ND version now. Had the chance to buy both back at the time I bought the date model but decided against it. Grrr.

Looks a cracker the one you've got

    Pretty similar to me
Sold my hulk earlier this year and now trying for a non-date
But hey its probably easier for me to get pregnant than buy one from an ad
Maybe next time i go to the ad i should set the mood better
Get the lights dimmed play soft music loads of-flowers
Then go for the big one am i near the top of your list

It was always the date version for me until a few months ago, the more closely I looked at the ND, it became clear that’s the one I wanted.

The AD’s sound promising, hopefully you get a result.

    Keep us posted.

    A very nice watch indeed.

Is that a compass on the strap at 6?

A good point for another thread. This is on a leather plus deployant so no problem whatsoever.

My worst culprit is my Pam 590 on rubber. Either too tight or too loose - I am sure I will survive.

Not my first diver, as I've had many. Possibly the best I've had though. I've had mine for a few weeks now, and am REALLY impressed with it - the whole package is up there in terms of fit, finish and overall looks. I'd never been a fan of the look of the SMP bracelet, but theres no denying it (and the clasp) are a piece of quality engineering, and on top of that its extremely comfortable (I'm sure i'll eventually end up with the rubber and nato for it as well!)

An extremely difficult watch to photograph, due to all the shiny surfaces.

That’s a lovely one, equally as great in the blue finish. Omega definitely upped their game with this watch.

Am fairly new to watches and this forum, but the chip on the shoulder that Omega watch owners have for Rolex is comical.

I would never buy a watch for its Lume capability, it’s the least needed item on the consideration list.

Excellent pick up, suits you well!

A friend had his stolen recently, which was pretty sad, he only ever had great things to say about this LW so enjoy the watch!

I did see the various posts about the theft of your friends watch and I have been looking out for his serial number. Such a shame and I now understand why he loved it so much.

Must admit i went to buy one of these recently
    And was disappointed
I wanted it on a rubber strap and i wore my tudor black bay s and g on an everest rubber strap for comparison
I tried them all even the titanium and ceramic which i thought i would love
I ended up looking at my black bay thinking you look miles better and ended up buying a black bay bronze slate dial
    Which i love
There is so much choice in the marketplace because we are all different and even are own tastes change
Maybe thats why I’ve been married three times

Yea, quite a niche product, so fingers crossed it pops up somewhere. The watch has so many great details and the engraving work is superb. One of the very few rose gold watches I dig too.

It does look like it in that photo doesn't it! I noticed that myself but couldn't be bothered to take another shot. Photographing one's own wrist isn't much fun!

    Thanks!

Those skeleton hands - not something I'm normally fond of - are extremely shiny and tricky to photograph. I could've done a better job but I was just messing.

To be honest, if I've got a grumble, it's that the watch's shiny bits are perhaps a bit too shiny. The lume's not the best either. Other than that though, it's a result!

Picked this El Primero 38mm up a week ago from a fellow forum member, what a beauty. Forms a solid chrono duo with my FOIS.
