These are great little ATPs, I used to have one myself(scalloped back) and really shouldn't have let it go as it was amazing condition and a great timekeeper too. Still have the WWW at least.

What would you like to know about it?

Not a Speedy, but still the same family. My first Omega, and boy, the new watch "afterglow" is strong on this one!

Looks great, congratulations. Fluted bezel, Jubilee and that lovely blue bezel just work really well.

    Beautiful,

The Rolex blue dials are very alluring. I also like the new end-link design of the jubilee bracelet.

Just picked this beauty up; I’ve been saving and hunting for a while; and I almost can’t quite believe that I actually own it.

It’s my first Rolex and I understand what the fuss is all about now...

Picked this under rated watch up last week... it really is much much nicer in the flesh... my favourite chrono by far and the B01 movement on the Breitling is a minimum 5k...
So this is a bargain in comparison...
    Highly recommended

    Never say never again...

Having decided that, after my last purchase a few months ago, enough was enough......I spectacularly failed to resist when I stumbled upon this LeJour Vintage Diver in Chronomaster:

Love the colour, the size, ETA 2824, build quality and the vintage looks. Some might be put off by the word "Vintage" on the face and leather strap on a diver but these don't bother me. It sits quite high on the wrist, about the same as my BB. Great service from Chronomaster BTW: ordered Thursday evening, dispatched Friday received Saturday

From SC (thanks James_) comes the behometh that is the Citizen Aqualand 'Ecozilla'.

Been looking for a good example for a long time, most have been used and abused.

Good to hear. I wore mine in the sea every day when on holiday, helping my daughter with surfing lessons. They are designed to be used

My first diver, the latest seamaster example is lovely and after trying them all on the black is the most balanced in my opinion although nearly bought the co-axial chrono in blue with yellow hands.

Went for the rubber strap as more practical for the water and not overly keen on the SS strap.

Excellent choice John! It has a very advanced movement and is good value for money compared to another brand I can think of.

Don’t forget you can check the master chronometer results - downloaded direct from the Omega site for your specific watch. Something other manufacturers could learn from.

    Well done !!

    Martyn.

Lovely watch. Tried one on but couldn't do it due to the date position. Waiting in hope they produce a no date like the ceramic in stainless steel.

I’ve been undecided about buying an Explorer for a while now and I’ve tried other it’s older and its little brother. The older brother’s acrylic Crystal was too easily scratch and the little brother was lovely but too small for me. So when this came up yesterday, I jumped on it.

I’ve got to say that, so far, I’m very happy!

    GS SBGA407

It really is so much nicer in the flesh. I have owned a number of GS pieces and this is the nicest.

I know this has been said a number of times, and debated before, but in terms of value for money for the level of quality/workmanship I don’t think you can beat Grand Seiko.

They are certainly on the way up in respect of brand awareness and I feel in time they will compete with the bigger boys like Omega etc for market share.

In summary this is a stunner.

Agree but can't buy and keep one until they sort out the poverty spec clasp on the divers and offer at least some on the fly adjustment on the rest.

The easy link (and glidelock) on Rolex and micro adjustment on Omega these days is too convinient to ignore. I like the leather straps but don't personally wear them.

It’s a good point, and one that even Patek and Audemars fall foul of. Why should watches designed to be worn every day not be able to cope with changes in temperature, without a visit to the jeweller? (Most people aren’t going to be taking a screwdriver to their Nautilus)

These manufacturers expend great effort on the movement, the dial, but fail to consider ergonomics. A big part of luxury, especially nowadays, is comfort and convenience, so they ought to address it.
