Having seen Pacifichrono's Wolbrook on here, I decided I had to get one:

Arrived a couple of days ago, and I must say I am very impressed. It seems well made, keeps good time so far, and the BOR is comfortable and of good quality.

Really happy to have done something rare for me: buy back a watch previously sold. I missed the all round versatility of the Aerospace for all round casual use. Slim, lightweight, and good enough at either the gym or pub. Will put it on a rubber or cordura strap for greater wearability. Such a versatile watch compared to the current range of oversized Breitblings.

    My first Russian piece

Quite happy with the quality at that price. Nice red glass caseback too and super thick green leather band.

Two new arrivals this week which I am pretty happy with.

First of all this beast which although big at 48mm wears very well and doesn’t look as big on the wrist as it does in the photo

Then something I have been after for a long time - Breguet Type XXI

    Great choice

I have the DC57, and it's the most-worn and most versatile watch I have - it's a great size, comfortable, a proper strap-whore, easy to read, and tough-as-old-boots!

I really want one. But seeing how many seem to have misaligned bezels puts me off massively at that price.

Looks good. Did it come with the new style warranty card? The OP models I've seen online have come with the old style.

Thank you sir. It’s very nice. I wouldn’t say it wears any bigger than the previous model despite the “41mm”. I think the slimmed lugs compensate for the apparently less than 1mm difference to the bezel. It goes back to the black dial, which is a substantive difference, but for the no date and regular black Sub, I’m not sure I’d be stressing myself too much about “upgrading” to the latest versus the previous ceramics. As always, build quality feels great. Wider clasp feels proportionate and not especially noticeable on the wrist.

Totally agree, I couldn’t and wouldn’t excuse it at £1000.

I’ve had a few sub £300 seiko divers where the bezel has been slightly off centre or the minute markers were slightly misaligned.

One of those things that once seen can never be unseen.

I suppose the only way would be to have the watch in hand to check before you pull the trigger.

Does the wider lug width and thus the bracelet being wider make a noticeable difference compared to the previous model when wearing?

    Thanks for your helpful post.

For clarity I did read the post in response to how it wore just above mine.

I was specifically asking about the the lug width and bracelet and not just the clasp. This was after seeing a photo on another thread that showed the bracelet to be substantially wider at the lugs, not just the clasp.

Thanks. I don’t think it makes any particular difference to how it wears. It’s certainly better proportioned to my eyes, but in terms of how it sits or feels, no. I mean, the bracelet is only 1mm wider over its length isn’t it?

Thanks for your reply, that’s reassuring to hear.

Maybe it was the way that particular photo was taken, it really looked like a marked increase in bracelet width from the previous 40mm iterations.

Enjoy the watch, it looks really good on your wrist.

Can you check the exact case size please? Bezel diameter and case thickness. Cheers.

I became bored waiting for something to arrive from Japan and started browsing again. I saw a black dialled dive watch languishing at a low price with only a couple of bids to its name. Liking the font and also being a sucker for dauphine hands I put a speculative bid in and, lo and behold, I win.

After a few days of anticipation (worry might be more accurate) about exactly what I had paid for it arrived.

I was relieved to be pleasantly surprised. The font and hands are as expected, the dial has a subtle sunburst which wasn't expected. I like the "waterprotected" on the dial as it isn't something seen very often. It makes me wonder what that actually means, it is as if they couldn't be bothered to find out if it were water resistant.

The case back is also charming too.

OK the lume looks like it was an after thought and the date wheel is pretty pants. But I like the lazy tick-tock of the pin pallet movement, much more relaxing than the frenetic beats of more expensive, higher beat movements. It fits in well with the lack of minute markers (which will annoy some here).

With a slow beat, no minute markers and a vague reassurance of water protection it is a very laid back time piece. So laid back it is losing about 7 minutes, yes minutes, per day which is not great, even by my standards. Certainly one for the days when punctuality doesn't matter.

That's a nice looking thing. Obviously with a base metal case and a pin pallet movement it's absolute tat but well done nevertheless. I hope it was nice and cheap.

My Zelos 42mm Titanium Swordfish arrived today. Well impressed.

    Great package:

    On metal strap:

    On cool leather strap:

And a first for me... Quick release spring bars. Awesome for super fast strap changes without tools!

    Well chuffed =)

Thank you, it was cheap (the delivery and auction fee almost doubled the price) but I probably paid a few more pounds than I should have done.

One man's tat is another's gold. Or gilded base metal anyway.

Had the call to say the black dial Milgauss I've been on the list for since late 2018 has come in :) I did wonder whether it would be discontinued before one came up!
