I like that a lot. Is there a bracelet available for it?

Happened to be in the Swatch store in Times Square this past week. Thought it would be rude not to! Much nicer on the wrist than I’d been led to believe! IMG_4454.JPG

I collected my Black Bay Pro today. I'm really pleased with it. It wears really well despite my slim wrists.

    Like it! Very cool.

Recently acquired 35th anniversary screwback G. Best pic I can get of the starburst display - something about these metal cased G shocks that resonate with my 80’s teen brain - even though I’m in my 50’s!

Very nice. Superb clarity on that, how it should be.

    Is the bezel fixed?

A couple of new arrivals for me this month

Had both of these in other colour ways in the past but always wanted to try the blue versions

Yes, bezel is fixed. I completely agree with the point you made on clarity. It is definitely on par with the Speedmaster which I think is one of the most legible watches out there despite the added complexity of the chrono subdials.
The mate dial and the indicators without frames have really done wonders for the bb pro

Have wanted to try one of Grand Seiko's "special" dials for a while now, and when this came up on SC found it to hard to resist. Had to give up one of my favourites to get it, but such is the nature of the "game"!
Amazing what a little light will do to the dial!

I used to have the Monte Carlo Heritage Chrono............ it is the only watch I regret having let to. A great choice, enjoy!

    I have two vintages incoming:

    1. 1959 Hamilton "Bradford B" in 14K solid gold with Hamilton's top-grade movement at the time, the cal. 770, 22 jewels, adjusted. This one is a very rare black dial, which are almost non-existent.
    2. 1940s Gruen Curvex in gold fill - restored.

Well, it was bound to happen at some point...

MM300 no. 10 lands on the wrist. This time the lovely SLA021J1, photographed on a Maratac Zulu that'll be spiced up with regular colour changes.

    Hopefully this time...

I agree. Taking the shine off things does help hugely. It's nice that the bezel is fixed, a stable GMT indicator. Great piece, enjoy it mate!

He looks sturdy as well as cute

I've also decided that whatever we end up getting, it's going to be called Turbo. I don't know why, it just amuses me.

Landed today as the consequence of a trade and I love it. I've wanted a quality watch that's a non-mainstream brand and a design that's less ubiquitous than most of what we see. The UN Executive Dual Time fits the bill perfectly

I'll get a decent shot up later today, but for now a Q&D with my phone...

10 years after the smart money started drifting away from Panerai, I finally have my first, an absolutely beautiful PAM 25. I’m ecstatic :)

Thanks to Rob for answering my WTB, and to TZ for such an awesome facility.

    Second PAM imminent too!

After being drawn to the BBBBB (Black Bay Bronze Bucherer Blue!) on a recent trip to London I couldn't get the idea out of my head! I never saw the appeal with the 1st iteration in brown and was considering the slate grey until my eyes fell on the inky blue of the Bucherer version. So this arrived today. Seems perfect for today's grey sky and heavy rain - the FXD always feels like a sunny blue sky watch to me!

Doesn't wear too differently from my FXD in apparent size though clearly it's a bit taller on the wrist when viewed from the side. Even the "slab sides" are not jarring and not at all how I remember the original BB 41mm looking when they first came out. Will see how the honeymoon period goes and whether I get the urge to reverse the light patina and create my own :-)

Really like the dial on that one. I feel like I'm kind of picky about the number font, and the 3-6-9 there is very nice.

Thanks. The clarity and relative simplicity of the design was what drew me to the BB Pro when it was first released. I like the fixed bezel too.

It's really comfortable too. I haven't worn anything else since I collected it.
