Not that it matters but there seem to be a few budget titanium watches around these days, and I thought it was an expensive metal to produce.
A grinding wheel and see if it gives off sparks? Ha ha!
To be fair for the price I'm half expecting it to rust the first time I wear out in the rain!

Wears a little smaller than expected and the rotor is a little noisy, but those are the only negatives.
    Good stuff - enjoy it!

In the hand it would be pretty clear, based on the weight of the watch.

Its a fair bit lighter than anything else I have with a bracelet. It also seems to have gone duller, after a few wears.
Either way for the price I'm pretty happy with it

I tried only an Apple Watch for three months, but I just couldn't get along without a mechanical.

So one (excellent as always) piece in today...

New arrival for me, Lorier Neptune IV. Early days but looks and feels lovely. 38.5mm, design wise feels like a cross between an old Seamaster and a BB58.

Having wanted a white dialled watch I finally chose an IWC XX
After a year of pondering though, I finally succumbed to temptation and got the other contender a Panerai 1087. I'm not disappointed

Did anyone buy one of the new Timex Q Snoopy chronos? I'd love to see real pics and hear thoughts.

Bizarrely, purchased exactly 10 years plus 1 day after acquiring the first one I had.

Up to 16 watches again, which is making me distinctly uncomfortable.

The Incoming / New Arrival Thread

    Incoming, hopefully arriving Saturday.

Decided that steel was a better long term option than PVD. New rubber strap also on order.

Quite excited, although only a few will understand why

Had me looking at these for the last few days. Can’t decide if I prefer the half arabic or the pro dial, PVD or steel.

Would also be interested in photos when you can.

I think the Pro Dial is a very typical divers dial as seen in Rolex, Seiko and the rest, although the plots are very “Maxi”. I think the Arabic’s are very B&R, and the unique dial is something I regret the current BR03 divers losing.

PVD or Steel? I was always all about the PVD, but as these are 10-15 years old, intact PVD is hard to find and it remains impossible to repair when damaged. The steel has brushed and polished surfaces which should look nice , it can also be refinished. I hope I like it in the flesh.

    Pics to follow!

Yeah I think PVD would have been my choice as it looks ace on the rubber, but not so good if really bashed up. Pretty sure I’ll end up with one, whatever iteration that may be!

Looks very nice! I have a pretty much mint PVD blue face I bought from here years ago, seeing that has inspired me to root it out 👍

My first Sinn . A brand I hadn’t really looked at before. Very nice. I actually prefer this bezel and acrylic version to the higher end models that I looked at. Happy days :)

That Panerai is beautiful! Simplicity done exceptionally well

That's a good first Sinn, and a nice Panerai, too!

Arrived today. Been keeping an eye out for one since they were launched a couple of years ago, and happy to have made a trade for this.

It’s a Sinn 103 St. I believe it can come on a bracelet or leather strap . The bonus is that the movement can be serviced by a decent watch maker as it’s not an in house movement and used 103 st can be picked up pretty cheaply .

Unusual for me these days, incoming two days in a row ... both posted earlier this afternoon in appropriate brand threads but hey ...

First, Precista PRS-42 B-Uhr, one of Eddie's finest ... still playing with straps.

And a 00s IWC Aquatimer 3548-01. Took an age to arrive but here it is at last. It came with three spare links but not **quite** enough for comfort, then I had a brainwave and had a look in my bits box. Sure enough, an IWC GST link that had been languishing since about 2003 or thereabouts when I had a steel GST chrono. (From the days when IWC gave you enough links that you had to remove one or two, these days I have to buy extra before I can even get started as I found out with both a Mark XVIII PP and a BP43).

I sold some a few months back Ben but I now think I have more than before. It’s madness!

I picked up a Gen 1 on the forum a couple of months ago and I love it too.

I'd been looking at the Sea Dweller for quite some time. Watched more than enough YouTube videos. Read up as much as I could before deciding on the variation I wanted (and could afford). Bought this full-set (with recent service history) from a long-standing forum member.

There only 4 left when I whipped in so not surprised they’re gone. I’ll fire you a note if I sell as im
moving next year so will be having a cull down to 5. (At least that’s what I’m telling myself)
