Looks great. I do like the Matt effect on the dial.

Picked this up a couple of days ago, bringing a smile to my face this morning over a bowl of cornflakes. 16710 from 2006, was originally a BLRO but came with a coke bezel, quickly rectified at RSC St James.

Now you have the second hand sorted it would appear the bezel is badly aligned...

That is lovely and puts other very expensive watches in the shade.

I just left the bezel where it was. I do actually use it to time stuff! 😉

I am, this is to tide over for the timebeing, but may also keep long term. With the way prices are going I feel like I need to be in, rather than out, at any cost.

I have never seen one of these before, what is it?!

  17. #7917
Loving the blue dial of these in stainless steel but having not got on with the yellow dial, now going to try the titanium case white dial. Strangely the dial looked brighter in the white strap it came with...

    It’s nice and light!

I have one of these incoming because
    a) I've always wanted to try a tourbillon
    and perhaps more importantly
    b) Displacement activity to stop me buying something far more expensive

They are almost perfect! All I would add is a screw down crown and fat spring bars like the original SKX case. Here is mine.

Couldn’t wait for the JDM version to arrive so bought a K until the SBSA027 gets here. My new only watch!

Collected this one this afternoon which I am rather pleased with!

Sadly involved parting with my BLNR however as that became more valuable the less I wore it and I feel this is a step up in a number of key ways and can justfiably be left for best! Apologies for the quick wrist shot but it really is fantastically detailed and constructed

That is outstanding, as much as a BLNR is a cracking piece, this is just next level, congrats

I love that watch. Tried one on in New York a while ago. Beautiful flecked dial and surprisingly slim for a GS. Really balanced dial design and perfect size.

Hi Ryan, congratulations on the multi arrivals. What are your first impressions of the Yema, if you do not mind me asking? Did you go sapphire or mineral? Did you order a leather strap in addition? Sorry to bombard with questions, but these really interest me. Probably the French connection - yes, I am that shallow!

French connection was exactly why I went for it! So I ordered mineral for the vintage feel. Quality is fine for a £1k watch (actually more like £700). Bracelet is thin but again a faithful reproduction. Needs a strap I feel so I'll get one. At the end of the day it isn't a modern BP 50 Fathoms quality wise of course but it is a like for like remake of a 60s classic and does that very well and for less than a grand it does a decent job and you won't worry about destroying it. I'm happy with it at what I paid for it.

Hard to tell from the pic, but looks like a rectangle dial.

That looks really nice, I’ve been looking at these but unsure due to the increased thickness over the 5 digit Submariner.

    How do you find it?

I'm enjoying wearing it, find it really comfortable and the height isn't an issue but I do have quite a flat wrist so it sits nicely.

Also spent the last 2 weeks wearing a Seiko turtle on a NATO strap so this feels small!

Highly recommended, even after a short time on the wrist it's easy to see why so many rave about this one.
