It's Feb 2015. Enjoying it at the moment, though think it may come to life on a mesh or thick leather, if anyone has any ideas?

Despite cutting my collection in numbers dramatically I accidently purchased this today, I have no will power. Now admiring on my wrist at work....
I fancied something a bit different to my usual large black faced diver so went for a large (very large!) smart watch instead:
i reckon the slim 49.2mm case suits me well. The dial is something else, absolutely lovely, lots of crisp details and it looks amazing when it catches the light.
I bought it from Mitchells Jewellers in Malden today and it was a very nice transaction indeed.

I wouldn't say it was 'modestly' proportioned cos the dial takes up most of the wrist surface but it certainly doesn't look daft on Poppy. There's the all important (imo) gap between the end of the lugs and the edge of the wrist plus the strap curves out to the edge of the wrist.

I have 7.75 inch inch flat shaped wrists and large hands so I think the watch's proportions match mine well.
I tried on a super avenger a couple of times and the depth of that watch made it look gigantic on me even though it has a smaller diameter. I haven't checked but I'm assuming the lug to lug is bigger on the super avenger too which will add to the effect.

No its getting alot of wear also. As the numbers have been coming down the watches are being worn more. I have packed up my sentimental watches (all cheap quartz) that I don't wear and put those in the safe, probably have around 6-8 less watches in my normal rotation. Have and old Longines for sale in SC at the moment and will sell 2 more watches off and stop there leaving me with a Daytona, Submariner, Sea Dweller, Datejust and Longines Hyrdroconquest that was from my wife.

I finally received the Kickstarter watch I decided to give backing in July. When I wrote about the campaing last summer, many didn't like the style of the campaing and the sales arguments they used (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...ions-to-tackle). I agree that the style of the campaign is tacky, but that's what Kickstarter is about. It has been quite nice to follow the project from the beginning, through production and then finally shipping.
The guy who started the campaign wanted to desing the "optimal" do-everything watch - for himself, based on his own ideals. I found the style and the concept strangely appealing. The watch is made of titanium (mine is grade 5) and in diver style with a rotating bezel, but the dial is from a flieger. The case is very nicely machined and at 39mm the perfect size for me. It has drilled lugs and shoulderless springbars. It also as sapphire crystal with AR on the underside and a decent quality Seiko NH-35A movement (that hacks and hand-winds). I think that for under £200 it's quite decent value.

Had one (white though), sold it, missed it, took me a few years to find a new one.
Sadly I have a feeling it will not get much wrist time. And I do have a new crystal for it.
Loving the PRS-3LE I acquired recently from kevkojak I know some like the faded or wabi look but the sky blue that this bezel has gone is just too bright for me so a quick e mail to Roland Kemmner and there is a nice new dark blue bezel enroute as I type.
I will update once it's fitted, the watch is running like a dream at -3 spd after a week of constant wear and the bracelet is very comfortable.

Oh wow, that's a stunner!Recent purchase from a weekend in Italy.
Received my Steinhart Ocean 44 yesterday. I'm very happy with it. I was worried that a 44mm watch would be too big for my 7" wrists but I'm very comfortable wearing it. Build quality is excellent considering the price. The only thing I'm not sure about is the sapphire crystal bezel but I can live with it.
As I mentioned to you in an earlier post I own an Ocean 44, and I really like the sapphire bezel as I think it is a real differentiator and nicely executed. What takes a bit of getting used to is the way the numbers & markings on the bezel appear and disappear as you change the viewing angle...

Not exactly a new arrival, got this just before Christmas, but just getting to grips with a new laptop and how to download pictures to photobucket. I am a proper numpty when it comes to computers.
I've ditched the rubber & it's now on the bracelet. Pictures to follow soon.

Cheap bit of fun to wear for work, really impressed with it. Wearing it on a 24mm NATO as the lugs are 23mm (I think).
Came with nice fat springbars and a cool MM300 style divers extension bracelet clasp. It even has a 5 year warrenty!
Also available with a gold plated finish on a rubber strap with gold buckle.

This arrived this morning. 2001 model with SEL and drilled lugs. Very pleased.
Well after being unconvinced by the Patek Aquanaut Travel Time - I am very impressed with my new 5167A. Less is more in this case. Very comfortable watch to wear and the uncluttered dial design works really well.

Loving some of the Sinn' watches in here, come on here for inspiration to purchase my first 'proper' watch. Was leaning towards an Aquaracer that recently tried on but now considering the Sinn 356/556 after some of the Pics! Keep 'em coming.
