    It was not cocaine.

But still, am happy with what it was......

Modded Turtle - cerakoted case, beadblast caseback, coin-edge bezel (cerakoted), blacked out MM300 hands with blue Mercedes second hand, blacked out date and Kanji day wheel, domed crystal, stealth ceramic bezel insert, which I have enamel-painted in the numerals and first 20 secs markers in Grey.
Dial is the original sunburst Grey

Is this something you had done? Or bought already done? I’m liking it a lot

That is very nicely done, the splash of blue provided by the second hand gives it that little extra oomph.

Not quite as exciting as some that recently arrived on here but my bargain little camping watch arrived yesterday:

Came with spare standard straps but I bought the Nato in anticipation of the watches arrival and I think it works quite well (if I can ignore the mismatch between polished case and blasted hardware).

It's in such good nick part of me wants to keep it that way but it has a job to do.

This arrived this week which is Massdrop purchase. Very pleased with it. I have always admired the original Airman, an iconic watch in many respects. Not sure I could live with the purist version so went with the GMT.
I have a DC4 which I really like but always felt i was a tad too big...42mm but the lug to lug is very long giving the impression of a much larger watch. Hence 36mm purchase. the 40mm looked as if it also had a long L2L.
Funny going back to a 36mm watch, but actually the size is about right.

Picked up this little shiny thing when passing through Heathrow T5.

The Gold was a bit too much bling for my taste!

Looks more like glamping in your French cuffs!

Great little watch. Didn’t realise they supplied spare straps too.

I wasn't really looking for this Hamilton field khaki mechanical but got it as a part of the deal when I sold my Sinn 356. Actually suprisingly nice size and feel to it. Since it's mechanical it's quite slim and 38mm width. Perfect look with the olive nato strap.

A gentleman should never be underdressed.

It was a secondhand purchase off eBay and the seller threw in two new straps. Apart from a couple of swirlies on the case it is in mint condition so I am very happy with it.

Picked up this Caravelle “Devil Diver” a few weeks ago, gave it a little bit of TLC and I rather like it.

1970's Waltham Skin Diver - I had this watch as a young boy in the early 70's. My brother and I each were given one for a Christmas present. No idea what happened to it, I'm sure it wasn't a good ending. This one ran for close to 40 hours and gained about 15 seconds, pretty amazing! (it came with paperwork for a recent overhaul by a watchmaker). The seller included two Grey tropics as well. (pebble and square hole types)

Following a face to face trade with Andy this morning this is now firmly on my wrist.
First impressions, having never tried one before are good and I'm liking the extra size and the splash of colour.

    Finally replaced my stolen Darth

With its big brother the Emperor SBDX013

Yes I did put it on a leather strap, Horween Chromexcel hand stitched with braided heavy thread.

The build quality is every bit as good as I had expected, the only thing I could criticise was that the bezel click felt a bit light and rattly compared to my old darth, although a bit grease under the bezel has made a big difference.

There is no getting away from the fact that it is a very big watch and certainly won't suit everyone.

The lume is the usual Seiko light show, and personally I prefer the new dial and hand design to my old one. I think it is better balanced and even more readable.

At first glance I thought the dial print was fuzzy, but on close inspection it turns out that the dial has a matt almost powdery finish, I guess to reduce reflections?

The watch arrived running +14 sec/day technically in tolerance but since it was stable I thought a quick adjustment would make it better (lost less than 2sec in 5days)

Adjusting to the size of 40mm after wearing a 45mm Panerai Radiomir for the last few days. Swapped onto a nato to match the military-ish theme and am pleased to be trying one of these after the resurgence of Oris Pointer Date versions reminding me I always liked them. This however has a big(ger) crown than the current version and is now the 3rd watch in my small collection to be sporting a plexiglass crystal :-)

Best acquisition lately... Cheap, fun, non derivative, very comfortable to wear, surprisingly well built, all indices aligned (that's how it's done Seiko), big grin factor, and best of all, gift from the wife to mark the birth of our second daughter. Here it is, in all its glory:

It’s not the current model but dates from 2010 and is model number 01 754 7543 4064 07 5 20 53. My version has a bigger crown and plexiglass crystal vs the sapphire of the current version. The one you can buy new today is also available in 36mm and 40mm and with different dial colours and in steel or bronze cases. The model ref is Big Crown Pointer Date.
