    That’s so lovely.

How long did you have to wait? I have been told over a year wait.

Two beautiful watches. I feel that they complement one another, somehow.

Not had a Panerai for a few years, but saw this Monday and completely fell in love with it.

Well the day started terribly with a car accident but ended with me taking time off work to collect my new BLNR. Got a call from Goldsmiths out of the blue just in time to celebrate my birthday and also 10 years as a self employed musician. Stunning piece. REALLY happy :-)

Not new watch, but new bits to mod a nearly new watch - Seiko LE Turtle will soon be decked out with nice tapered Superoyster bracelet (22mm down to 18 at clasp), ceramic bezel insert(s), and coin-edge bezel.....
I’ve got a “stealth” bezel insert and a BL/NR as per above Rolex on the way.... see what looks best....

He had the cyclops removed by the AD and I quite like how subtle the watch now wears without it. It's my under-the-radar office watch and after having variously considered the current Explorer and Oyster Perpetual models I'm very happy with my choice. Original case finish and absolutely no bracelet stretch. Great value vs the equivalent GMT Master.

    Thanks for your update.
You know that I didn’t even notice that it had no cyclops!

Very nice, why have common old stainless steel when you can have Gold for nearly the same money

The Incoming / New Arrival Thread

To me, the gold Daytonas are the stars...especially given current prices of steel models. I prefer the none-ceramic bezels anyway.
The gold does mark a bit more easily, but who cares. If it really matters, they can be polished. With the steel ceramics on offer at Ł16k, gold at a few thousand more for a late model, is a better bet. They cost three times as much at retail......now is the time to buy as the current weird distortions can't go on for ever.
When I had both steel and gold versions, the steel ceramic didn't get a look in. It just didn't feel 'special' to me. Despite the prices.

Clearly, a lot of people think otherwise!

I forgot to post my latest in here... My wife was away in NYC a couple of weeks ago for business and I got treated to this on her return! A Timex + Todd Snyder Military : White.

A cream face in fact and not white, which allows the red to really pop off the diambut not seem to starkl. 40mm case but it doesn’t feel that bulky or heavy, nicely designed and printed – overall a very, very lovely package. The quartz doesn’t hit all the markers but you’d expect that.

Timex are producing some great pieces these days and always worth a look!

I have now tried the strap into an RAF style pull through NATO, which I prefer.

I've been hankering after a blue dial watch for a while now. Finally decided on a 1603 as the way to scratch that itch! Watch arrived yesterday and couldn't be happier!

Been hankering after a no date sub for a while now, but was procrastinating over modern or old. Finally went vintage in the end, picked this up from Mike Wood on Wednesday. The watch dates to 1968.

Good choice, the ceramic modern version lost the classy looks.

Indeed, welcome to a very special club!

Alongside the straps, I can recommend whacking on the PO microadjust sliding clasp for an all-day perfect fit. The crap adjustment on the stock clasp was the only dislike about my Speedie Pro.

I made a comment on a thread a couple of months ago that one of the best value watches had to be the 18ct cased Zenith El Primero models.

I had an opportunity to put my money where my mouth was with the recent Chronext flash sale (in passing - they were easy to deal with). This is a limited edition model to celebrate the 700th anniversary of the founding of Switzerland.

Box, papers, original Chronometer certificate and a brand new Zenith croc strap with 18ct buckle, all for about what a steel model might normally cost. It’s a really lovely thing with a subtle gloss / lacquer dial.
