That's a really worthwhile set of upgrades over the original model - even the LCD display is much better.

Oh nice, Wiley. How does it look on your big wrists at 40mm?

New (to me) Panerai from the wonderful folks over at Subdial =)

Sorry for the fluff and marks on the crystal, fresh of a bike ride and I couldn't resist taking pics =)

    Thanks. Two quick pics here.

This is my only watch without a bezel so I'll see how I get on with it. Something new for me but the dial is great and no PR indicator on the dial is a huge plus IMO.

    Beautiful 😍
I never really ‘got’ these until I looked into them further and realised the complications are very impressive.

Arrived today after a long wait to get lucky with a store opening. In a time when an Eddie model seems to sell out as soon as the store opens I’m not sure why this model still seems to be available. Absolutely stunning watch for the money.

Beautiful watch, although it looks like the crown guard has been screwed down upside down!

Quick and Dirty pic of my new to me birth year Speedmaster. On an Uncle Seiko bracelet for now as the 1039 is too small.

    Damn.

I've just got that queezy feeling in my stomach.

Taken a look at all the PAM 00005's on Chrono24 and they have the crown guard screwed on the other way!

I'll get back to SubDial about this.

    Thanks for pointing it out.

    I totally missed it.

First impressions are very good. Extremely well made, and built like a tank. Bigger than I was expecting a 42mm watch to be. Incredibly difficult to get a decent picture of it - the little polished elements shine in any light! As is my way I've just ordered the rubber strap for it.

Nice. I couldn't even bear to be without that exact model! That said, I do find being to time stuff useful (cooking mainly) and interesting (sometimes), and would never wear a smart watch.

It's an easy fix as held on by 2 screws so don't feel too queasy yet

It is true that the watch completely changes under different lighting.

A tropic style 22mm blue rubber strap.

The bracelet is also quite respectable with SEL but can’t seem to find the adjustment tool. I have ordered a replacement so the strap will have to do in the meantime

Very nice, and for me, that's the perfect strap, though I daresay a black 'rallye'-style perforated strap would also look good

That is rather nice and the strap makes for, imo, a good combination.

Just collected. When people tell you how nice they are - they're underselling it. Dial changes from silver to champagne or white depending on light
Gorgeous, best finishing I'm likely to own given the price of any competition.

    Really like it mate.

Tudor are making some simply wonderful watches for sub £5k these days but for some reason there are some peopel that get far too hung up on minor/perceived negatives that, for me, feel like being overly picky. For example, so much nonsense spoken about how the BB Pro is "too thick" when it just isn't....

And this Black Bay Chrono is spot on too. Fit (and thickness) are ideal and the finish it beyond reproach for the money (£4k) and would be at a lot more too. I think the BB Chrono Black or White dial is a winner so well worth checking out mate.

Very nice Gareth. Tudor (and this watch especially) have to be right up there for price and quality right now.
