Arrived today and I could not be more delighted. It's absolutely gorgeous!

I was a little worried that it would actually be too big - lug length - for my wrist, but it's actually perfect for me (wears very much like my 14060M did, spot on). Just goes to show how 'written' dimensions can be deceiving, if you know what I mean.

This is the first auto I've owned for a long time and although I always tend to wear quartz I can see this one being worn a heck of a lot - it is very light and I love light watches. I've also got quite a few different suitable straps tucked away in the drawer that I can try out on this too. Even found a Phoenix NATO that I must have bought for the Rolex and never used.

Anyway, cheers Senraw. One very happy customer!

Wanted one of these for ages. Had the 43mm Zenith Chronometro Tipo CP2 in both steel and bronze. Steel one is just right I think but the bronze cased version wears too small - for me at least I found it disappeared on the wrist - though the steel one was long gone by the time I arrived at that conclusion.

Also had the 48mm Zenith Type 20 Pilot GMT model which was something quite special and striking - sold to raise funds (sadly), but it wore large, as it was designed to do, a little impractical for every day. I always wondered if the bronze cased 45mm model would be in the Goldilocks zone - just right for casual, daily use. And I think it is. This one dropped into my lap unexpectedly and I'm having to reshuffle the collection a bit, but worth the effort. I was chasing the chronograph at one point, but switched to the 'Extra Special' - the simple three hand design is just so 'right'.

Got this a few days ago.

I’m impressed with the range of features and capabilities.

I’m actually finding it quite useful.

Hopefully the novelty will soon wear off.

Very happy with this Glycine Combat Sub 39 Gilt 300m.. and first new purchase in many years. First job was to de-bling the polished center links. I worked through micro, ultra and finished with super-fine sand sponges to get a perfect matching finish (went over outboard links too) against the case. It was a toss up between this and a Lorier Neptune, but this has the Swiss pedigree and the heritage, plus it's sapphire and super slim at 11.5mm. Scratches the vintage Bond Rolex itch for sure.

Thank you Gents, I have a love hate relationship with the Gen 1 (the ticking seconds hand I think)
But I will keep this one. I still prefer the Gen2 though.

Schofield Light. I liked the watch when it was released but couldn't stomach the price given the Seiko movement. I was really pleased to find a pre-owned model. It's really nice in person. The finishing is very good and it's full of nice details. Very comfortable and even the wide strap I wasn't sure about feels right and part of the overall design.

It's a GMT hand. A bit redundant given the lack of markings on the dial!

Nice!! I’m same as you want one but not at new price! Where you find it for sale secondhand?

Very nice, exceptional clarity with the black on white. I love it.

I'm very impressed with this. An NTH Näcken Vintage No Date. The timekeeping is superb, just like the case and top hat sapphire.

That's lovely. The red accents really set the dial off nicely. Looks good on the strap as well.

Thanks for the heads up, the pricing does seem to be abit of a minefield so I'll take a look at Watches2U

They don't offer the 39mm version. Got mine from main EU dealer in Holland via Amazon, which included UK VAT & customs. Their website has Euro pricing which adjusts to GBP less VAT when you put destination in.

Funny you say that as I've seen these come up on Amazon from time to time, was sceptical of the origin but this is good to know.

    Lovely watch.

It's 40mm so you must have a small wrist as it does appear way bigger than the case size suggests, (not that it doesn't suit you).

Been wanting one of these for years

Celia advertised a strap months ago that I thought would look ace on a 183.

So coordinated it so they arrived together, well pleased with the combo.

So single shot and one with it's Pamily

Picked this up about a week ago.

Tissot Navigator Ref: 44940 with cal. 2481 automatic movement, dating to 1974. Wears well at a shade over 37mm and with a large screw-down crown. The domed Plexi really makes the blue dial pop, and the Bakelite (I think) bezel really accentuates the vintage look.

Yes it’s the denim dial. I’ve ordered the blue denim and leather strap for it as well.

The 44940 has hands that are very similar to the Doxa 300T, apparently.

Very nice. I find these versions but more tempting than the new Pilot which whilst nice enough, seems a bit derivative.
I've got my eye out for a 40mm Bronze with blue dial.

Cheers, I will probably never get to the bottom of its functionality due to a mix of my own incompetence and Casio's hilariously useless manuals (some things really do never change!), but it already does more than enough - the nifty motion-sensing backlight is amusing this raddled technophobe way more than it really should!

The Incoming / New Arrival Thread

This arrived on Saturday, so far so good and am quite happy with it. It feels a lot smaller on the wrist compared to a Rolex Sub/GMT which are only 1mm bigger. The Tudor is nice and slim and very light,…mine is 102g with the amount of links I’ve taken out.

That reminds me of the manuals that came with Roland synthesisers of the 80s and 90s.

Every sentence started with the words "It is possible to..."

Thanks, I know. But if possible could you tell me how?

I shudder to imagine... I think it's a combo of the lost-in-translation bit (from a language that doesn't even read in the same direction!), and the fact that the tech geniuses that design these devices don't speak technophobe (me), so have no clue how to design user friendly interfaces, much less explain fuctionality to the hard-of-thinking (also me).

New to me today! I’ve wanted a coloured dial watch for some time and my favourite (within a reasonable budget) has always been the F1.

Also helps for the man maths that red is my 5 year old son’s favourite colour!

Thanks so much to Mark (MMC)!

Just sent from Japan to me, it seems to be in good condition, well, considering that, it dates from 1978
