Me too, never got the Daytona thing. Too small for a start although the current model may be a little larger. The BB's have always done it for me. If, for you too, letting a 79180 go was your bggest watch regret now might be a good time to buy as the prices on these are moving up along with everything else, after seemingly lagging for years.

It seems there are 10x the silver/black BB’s out there for every white, it proved much harder to find than I first expected. Job done, I will be buried with this watch

The big blocks and the later 792xx series were amazing chronographs.

    This arrived today.

The dial is just sublime, absolutely gorgeous. Pictures can't do it justice.

New straps just fitted. First is 720 on Corrigia leather, opted for blue stitching to match the hands. Second 243 on Corrigia canvas. Obviously I have a thing about blue and watches.

I pressed that bid button again.....

I never believed that I would buy a diver. Generally I think they are in-elegant with chunky bezels, oversized indices cluttering the dials and odd looking hands (I know that they look like they do to serve a purpose but they aren't to my taste) but then I saw this:

    on Flickr

Just goes to show there is something for everyone.

(That is glare on the crystal over the 9, not damage to that lovely dial)

Finally got my hands on one yesterday, love the Dawn Grey...

Just got to decide if I want it on a different strap.

What a beauty! Amazing how we can still come across watches that spark an interest even though you'd written the whole brand / style / function off!

I wasn't either to be honest. They are much better than the photos make out, less obtrusive and they have really grown on me.

My first brand new watch for a while arrived today. I have been looking forward to this one as I love the original A11 however they are 80 years old, quite small, and rather fragile now.

    Lume is a nice touch.

With the watch it is inspired by.

All in all I have had it 20 minutes and am rather impressed an A11 that I can wear every day.

Thank you Oliver. I was still a bit sceptical when I bid for it but upon arrival I was won over. Been wearing it ever since. Wears big with the nato beneath but once I've a two piece strap it should be fine.

The Incoming / New Arrival Thread

It’s Corum 52 Anima Matteo Ceccarini.
The larger blue ring tells hours and the smaller one minutes.

The other one is Romain Jerome Tattoo DNA.
What makes it special is that it’s a unique piece.
The ”normal” production pieces were made with yellow or red colored lightnings. This one has orange colored lightnings.

Ah yes, I see what you mean. It was just a quickie shot after I first got it, I must have been too excited. If we ever get another bright day I will try and get some better photos.

Purchased last week and loving it to bits!

First time I paid RRP on a pre owned watch but I think I made the right call.
