I kind of get what you’re saying. I have a Racing and a Date, which work really well on my small wrists. I feel like I really, REALLY ought to have a Pro of some kind, just due to its somewhat iconic nature. However, much as I like them to look at and that the size doesn’t drown my wrist, every time I try one on, I’m left just a little bit underwhelmed.

It may be that I’ve yet to find the right one for me, as I’ve never tried a heselite version or indeed anything ‘vintage’. Perhaps that will see the Speedy Pro bug bite properly!

    Lovely looking watch though

Almost exactly a year ago I had a choice of the two. I chose this one too and still believe I made the right choice. Love it. Great photos too

The blue is lovely, but one colour too many for my liking. The black allows the green sapphire to show itself best IMO.

Photos taken by hand on a Samsung J5 phone! I of course agree with your choice... but the blue is lovely in sunlight too.

Day 1, I'm very impressed with the finishing. First time I've seen micro adjusters fully hidden away INSIDE the clasp. That's smart....very smart.

That is a stunner. I've always liked that watch. I agree that the Blue runs it pretty close, but I think yours just pips it.

Nearly bought one a while back as a planned exit watch, but it never happened - would have saved an aweful lot of messing around 😂

Enjoy, it is a lovely watch.

Thanks Ken... I'm in the honeymoon period of course, but this one's being tucked away now for a big birthday! Watch fund fully depleted now for a while!

After all the recent talk about Speedmasters, I decided that I really didn't know enough to venture into the vintage Speedy world but found this cracker from 2014 on SC from marcus.furious.

Immaculate and gorgeous (the watch, not marcus)

The thing is with these, is they just make everything else look dull! I got mine earlier this year after getting sick of looking at everyone else's. Great decision.

I've been searching for a replacement to my old Mk XII for some time, but when the opportunity arose to snag one of the Mk XVIII Tribute to Mk XIs came along it seemed like a pretty good alternative. Arrived this morning, was immediately popped onto a Watch Gecko nato in a perfect colourway and now it's off to see it's first game of Premiership football

I was really keen on that and was in contact with Noel. He was a pleasure to communicate with. Enjoy it.

Thank you both, this was a tough decision to sell but it’s going to be well loved and it was a pleasure discussing it with both of you.

That's certainly different. It looks like a ball bearing puzzle I had when I was a kid.

It does! I like the way they managed to cut all of the numbers out of the dial but kept it as one piece.
The numbers are meant to glow in the dark but I haven't tested it yet.

That's weird. I like it. For some reason I wish it had a small sub-second at 3 instead of a sweep hand. Actually, I know why. Pac Man is why.

    What's the make & model?

It's an Ocean Crawler Lume Rush Diver V2 (I had never heard of them until about 3 weeks ago when I came across this)

Hiya yes that's correct. It's the rotor on the Hi Beat movement

Chuffed to bits with this one... Was between this and the blue dial one.. Both lovely but plumped for the black. Increadable value for money and even more so with a great discount.. A no Brainer.
Lovely fit and very comfortable and with the easy extension clasp slider even better during the hot months.
Sadly put away for Xmas now.. Not long though.

Thanks! Wears large and tall (at least on a NATO), very legible, adequate lume, runs accurately at ~+1spd. The date window doesn't bug me (but I decided before the purchase that it wouldn't bug me, YMMV). The recessed dome sapphire and screwbars rather than springbars set it apart from other case designs in this style, I think. With only black and white accents, quite a strap monster. It's quite a GADA for me, too. :)

Lovely watch I must say - had no idea what I was looking at when you posted it originally, but assumed it was some £four-figure unobtanium! Somewhat taken-aback when I looked it up: what a bargain!

Wow, never occurred to me it could appear THAT fancy, cheers!

Two incomings in a week! I am a very lucky man. First to arrive was a GP Laureato ceramic followed by an H Moser & Cie pioneer rotating bezel funky blue. Going to stop buying for a while now and just enjoy!
