Yes - got it in store. The Battersea boutique. The pink strap version is only available online, but this one was fine to get in store - they had to get it in, though.

Edit - too busy to meet atm or I would show it to you in person, but message if you’re interested and I will send lots of pics.

Couple of pics below, first in natural light, and a second under night lights really shows it at its best.

I spotted one yesterday and it looked great. It has lots of character.

Now, if Seiko made one in steel.......yes please.

A while ago I decided that the next time I saw one of these on SC, I wouldn't hesitate

My first and probably last diver, but not my first orange watch, definitely not my last

Thanks the pics would be great. I’ve been interested for a while. Thought it would make a great summer watch. I take it you are happy with it. Wasn’t keen on the pink strap.

Went to try a Big Pilot on today… always fancied one, but in the back of my mind kinda knew I wouldn’t be able to pull it off on my 6.75” wrist.
True enough, the lug length was a killer for me.
However, the Big Pilot 43 on the other hand.. wow… perfect for my wrist size.
Hadn’t planned to commit to a purchase today, however … here we are !!

Got a brown strap on the way for it (along with another deployant).. which really suits the blue (they chap in the shop was kind enough to remove the brown strap from their black BP43 and fit it to this so I could see what it was like). I’ll post a photo when I get that strap as I think it sets off the blue dial wonderfully.

That looks great, although I agree that the brown strap would be the better option.

Good to see IWC getting some proper recognition lately (I’m wearing my pilot chrono as I type).

Funnily enough Tony, the pilot chrono was next on my list if the BP43 wasn’t working for me. Having previously owned the triple date 3777 model, the blue dial 41 chrono was my banker.

Beautiful watches, and certainly no wallflowers despite being a tad smaller.

That looks spot on, the blue dial without date is a great combination. I have the same size wrist and I like my mark XX but could easily be tempted by one of those, if only they did a white dial

Thank you sir. A white dial BP I suspect would wear a bit larger.. there’s a lot of dial !

That really does look the business!

I tried on a BP years ago and much like you it looked too big on my wrist - 6.75” too.

    Congratulations, enjoy!

The slightly-more-reasonably-sized BP is a good looking watch, enjoy it. The brown strap should set it off nicely.

I can confirm that 41mm Chrono isn’t a bad choice either, y’know, for the next time you’re in the boutique.

Very nice! And there's nothing like that hi-beat smooth sweep of the second hand (well, except spring drive maybe).

My Mint Choc Chip arrived today but quickly went back in its box until Christmas. I'm impressed with how nicely finished it is.

Just received this Oris Whale Shark from Watchfinder.

Not the most popular of brands on here but they're becoming one of my favourites & great value used

As my OCD won’t allow me to buy vintage, (patina is not for me), I have to make do with the modern versions of the W10. This sits nicely with my Mellor 72 and my PRS 29a.

It seems this is the first mention of the SBCA003 in this forum, ever. I once had the black dial SBCA001:

I think I want to go platinum with the ice blue baguette dial. Give me one of them and I’m done.

I bought the BB36 the second it was released, fearing it would be the only 36mm watch on the market forever. You know, with big lume and stuff.
I have now completed my holy trinity of 36ers with the San Martin.

Congrats, I've had IWC on my mind lately, esp like it on the rivet straps.
