I’m a big fan of Marmite and a big big fan of that, I know I’m probably in a minority but if I’m honest I prefer it to the white gold, congratulations Dan it’s a beauty.

Picked this up at the weekend. Was originally looking at the blue Seamaster 300 and was instantly bummed about the non tapering bracelet, so no.
Was nosey so asked for a look at the new speedy and instantly loved it. The step dial and new bracelet looks really vintagey so right up my alley.
Not what I was in for but delighted.

Not really, it disappears when it’s warm, but now it’s usually there. I see it as a little quirk.

That's gorgeous. Ever since one popped up on SC earlier in the year, I've had this one in the back of my mind. Only small drawback is the WR, otherwise it's a candidate for the perfect watch IMO. Enjoy!

Custom Damasko DC76 just arrived after a mere 6.5 month wait...

Looks excellent. Can't wait to find the right tool to take the bracelet off my DC86 and put that strap on it. The Bergeon spring bar tool just doesn't seem to work.

I use the 1.2mm tool tip - 6767-AF - on the 6767 handle - works fine for me with a little care, I don't really get-on with the tweezer-style tool, those are only really useful with steel bracelets.

The Incoming / New Arrival Thread

One I’ll never sell. Hesalite Speedy 3861 to celebrate the birth of my first child - warranty card dated on his DOB.

I’ll pass it on one day, and hope it means as much to my little man as it does to me.

I'd been holding on waiting for the CWC Pilot reissue for what seems like an eternity. Price came in way way too high for me though so decided to go for this issued one I'd had my eye on. Not a bad compromise at all, and birth year(both in Breitling case manufacture date and also issue date) always quite cool too.

It's the steel bracelet I'm trying to remove first.

It's not with me just yet but, I pulled the trigger on a Sinn 103 Destro special edition last night.
It was the dial layout that really caught my eye along with the lume.

Its a bit marmite with the polished centrelinks on the H-link!
Fingers crossed I can settle with it, because in photos I really do like it.

With the blessings of the Import god and the Revenue commissioners may it avoid the dreaded VAT

One benefit of this thread is, as a newbie like myself, it gives a great insight into all the different makes and styles that are out there as opposed to what's in our local dealers.

Having been through both the bracelet and rubber strap version of the black dial, I settled on the blue on rubber that I picked up yesterday.

The Incoming / New Arrival Thread

Woke up at 5:30 this morning and found this solar powered Seiko SSC813 Speedtimer online as I was trying to get back to sleep. Decided to impulse purchase it while I wait for a Tudor Chrono from my local AD. Turns out there is a bit of a wait (few days) before this Seiko can be sent as it has just been released.

Looks great.....my solar Seiko gets plenty of wear as it's always ready to go and usually handy being out on the bedside table collecting light.

It’s a slave hand I believe. It’s the best homage of the 1655 that I know.

Yes the re-issue price is well wide of the mark and makes buying an original issued one a no brainer. That's a lovely example, enjoy the very loud movement, which is all part of the charm of these IMO.

I would rather have one of these over the new reissue.
