Keep that ahead of the Speedy Ben, I'd be concerned about taking a flippers hit on the Zenith

Been after a bracelet version, full set, one of these for a while. Much harder to find than I thought, but worth the wait...

I realise that neither the brand, nor the fact that it's quartz, will cause too much excitement on here, but there is just something about it, and it is certainly very well put together.

I'm not a fan of the square B&R models but I could see myself wearing that one.

    Picked up another of these.
Fabulous quality and wrist presence, excellent time-keeping and amazing value.
Really makes me wonder why I need some of my much more expensive pieces.

Incoming today with one of Watchfinders new security tags on. Another fool proof system, undo a single screw on the bracelet, remove security tag undamaged, put screw back in bracelet and keep tag intact just in case.

Back to the drawing board chaps...

I am far from sure Watchfinder can invent it's own conditions about returns....consumer law defines these things, not Watchfinders lawyers. Not a firm I would ever deal with, but they certainly are popular.

I’d think publishing your loophole on a public forum may not help the longevity of the idea.

Happy to help, not sure about the legal implications of putting these sticker things on watches, surely any buyer of any watch has the same legal consumer protection rights as anybody else. Simply removing a sticker does not free any seller from their legal obligations.

In all fairness, most people probably don't mess around with bracelets etc. I took it off straight away as I wanted to take some photos of the detail between the lugs.

It's a 1988 R serial number 16523 with the white Mark 1 floating dial, but is it a rare Porcelain dial used in the Mark 1 16520, 16523 & 16528? Logic suggests that it should be. Any experts out there.

So much for the idea that gold bezels get heavily damaged with use. Look at that bezel after 30 years.

An absolute fluke, it just appeared on Watchfinder's website last Monday morning, I rang up and said:

I was interested in the Mark 1 Daytona,
which one is that again was the reply,
the one with the floating dial I said,
Oh there are so many different dial formats came the reply,
The TT one with the white dial and black rings I said,
    Oh that one.

I didn't have the heart to ask them to check if it had a Porcelain dial.

Anyway, offered them my Ed White in exchange and couldn't believe the deal that I was offered - so went for it. Who says WF are expensive...

That's a strange thing with Watchfinder; they don't always know what they've got.

To them it's just an old Daytona.

To be fair Dave, if you think of all the different dial configurations that we discuss for Red Subs, 5513, 5512, SDs, Daytonas, GMT etc and the various websites that we point people in to check things out, it is hardly surprising that they may occasionally not realise what they have.

I saw a comment today in a WTB that a white dial 16520 that they have listed has a service dial, that isn't detailed in the listing, so there is good and bad - buyer beware.

Remember there are no experts, just people who know stuff and other people who know a little bit more

Spotted a Milgauss in August, tried to fight the urge to get one but succumbed this afternoon. Was concerned it would be too flashy but very happy with the look

I love this watch, and the type marine. Decent size and superb legibility. It does look best on its bracelet. Don’t see them come up often so enjoy!

Got this coming on Thursday. I'll be looking to change the strap I think. For all your PRS-50 owners in the forum, what is the best watch / strap combination? I've seen one in a Friday post on a sandy colour NATO which looked very effective. I hope this scratches my Blancpain itch...

Had one of these twice now (the same watch) and believe me the black Brady Sailcloth is the best strap to wear it with.
