I would rather have one of these over the new reissue.
    Enjoy

Hey thanks guys, didn't expect comments a week later.I do think these offer great value for money. Not increased that much over the past 5 years and would make the reissue a really tough sell. I used to own the previous reissue and always regretted selling it(did so to find the original Speedy Tuesday). Superb watches.

Got the call on Friday, picked up today, very happy with this.

Had a 39mm gen 2, wore much too large for me, and thought about getting the last of the 36mm pieces, although prices started to become eye-watering even for the “humble” explorer. Thought about the Black Bay 36, somehow never got one, then this was announced, pretty much perfect for me as a combination. Could be an only watch if I could ever do that!

Definitely a contender for an “only watch”.

Looks great on you by the way, perfect proportions.

Perfect size for your wrist. The Explorer remains my favourite watch in the entire Rolex line up.

Picked up a new version of the MBII...

Quite a few changes compared to the original I bought in 2012 (and sold a few years later).

That MB II is so much better without the day feature.

Handset and Numerals also improved, I think, although I would always prefer to see white hands on a black dial, the black ones seem to shrink the hands a little

Been going backwards and forwards over which model and version to get but glad I picked this one in the finish.. I missed the Sport Evo I used to own so it feels good to have a Glashutte Original in my small collection again..

I love the look of that....but..... I know it's probably sacrilege, but I'd prefer it with either all 1-12 numbers or 3 6 9 12. But still a lovely looking thing.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

Bill Yao made a prototype run of nine Tornek-Rayvilles over 10 years ago, 'thieuster', a member here, has the very first. I missed out first time around.

They've finally made it to production. Solid, well made.

    A quick iPhone shot.

Congratulations! The Explorer looks great on you. How long did you have to wait? I have my name down on one of those too.

Very pleased with the Seiko Speedtimer SSC813. I understand some are taking to calling it the SeiTona.

I'm tempted too, but recently got a Tudor Chrono panda so not sure I can justify such a similar watch. Stand-in beater version maybe....

That looks great. There’s a few of his “ready to wear” range I’d happily buy if he had some to sell when I had the funds.

I like that. Is it the 43mm version? If so, what is the lug to lug measurement please?

This SBGV243 arrived yesterday having had a DHL/Shopping in Japan detour around the Fens by the look of it, only 200 or so miles away! When the delivery driver said he couldn't find me but was on the sea front, it was concerning as the nearest sea is 2 hours away from here.

    Now on an Erika's.

Building my relationship with a new Rolex AD. Last month, got the Mrs a lovely 50th birthday present. This month, was invited to pick up this beauty today:

So pleased to add one of these to the collection. I know it is a bit of an oddity but I really like it!
