Cheers allyes they had the purple one also but it felt just a little too feminine, not that I'm not in touch with that side.

I laughed when I saw the pictures online of the two WoS Grand Seikos but that green looks superb. Seriously nice.

After nearly a 6 year wait many visits to my AD and a frustrated email just before Christmas.
I received the “call” a couple of weeks ago and collected it yesterday.
This is my official retirement year, so good timing.
And dare I say the final one!
A very poor photo taken yesterday.

A heck of a wait to get a watch, but nice that it all worked out and especially arriving to mark that milestone. Looks great - congrats, and enjoy! :-)

I truly believe that my "Frustrated" email may have helped :-)

I remember saying that many times and even bought an Explorer 1 when I turned 60.
    But surprise, surprise it wasn't
This time it has to be for several reasons including the prices.
But the experience of walking into your AD knowing that you were going to be buying something that you have waited for, is rather special.
And they included lunch an overnight stay and a few Rums LOL
So in all a lovely experience.

i would well believe it, im not sure how much science goes into the list management and its often a case of right place right time (or right email right time)

The occasions that I've been graced with 'the call' usually occur after some form of recent contact with the AD. I think it jogs their memory to some degree but in fairness that may be a coincidence.

In any event the lists on many models appear to be getting shorter, even for the Submariner.

My favourite variant & one I keep thinking about getting, although on the strap & not the bracelet. Love the colour change of the dial depending on the light.

    New(ish) arrival(s) for me...
I bought this Bulova Mil-Ships at the end of Jan, opened the box and was immediately hit with the 16mm lug and strap width. Yes, it's historically accurate and yes, I could have done a bit of research before buying it but there you go. So straight to Google and onto WUS (mine says hi!) and I find a recommendation for this strap from Etsy which arrived today.
Very happy with watch and strap combo.

Just for your info, 18mm Perlon and other weaved nylon straps can fit imperceptibly. I had the same problem with a Marathon and I used 18mm weaved nylon full NATO with matt hardware. It added a lot more substance.

I can't remember if I posted previously about this incoming?
    If I did? Apologies.

I backed the Monro Adventure GMT last October on Kickstarter.
I picked the Green/Black as my pledge.
The watch is due to ship this week and I'm looking forward to receiving it.
In the intervening, the Monro guys ran an Xmas draw, raffling off 3 Red versions of the watch.
Only 3 made and I'm lucky enough to have snagged one of them in the draw.

The promo pics are below and I'm really looking forward to getting mine on the wrist 😁

You dont HAVE to ofc but im definitely sad enough to be interested to see how wrist shape alters link count either side!

I was back in town today and as it has still been niggling at me I decided to get them to switch the ratio from 4/7 to 5/6 instead.

Clasp-wise, it probably actually did sit better how it was originally, as now its a little too far round my wrist the other way, but in my head at least I know its more even! Will keep it like this for a little while and can always just change it back myself if its annoying me.

I've bored myself with it all now, but its funny that its something I've never encountered before!

Personally, I think it looks better centred with the 7/4, but it's important how it feels as well.

A lot of my bracelets are 7/4 because I have a rounder wrist. Probably someone with a flatter wrist would fit the 6/5 better.

Having fancied trying one for a while, finally have this on the wrist today. Tissot PRX quartz in blue.

Once again proving (for me at least) zero correlation between value and the smile which glancing down at the wrist brings!

Thats very odd because 7/4 from the side looks like the clasp is too far over but the underside shot of the clasp is centred.

I dont understand but my nosiness is satisfied thank you!

I was so taken by the dial I didn't pay attention to the dimensions given in the advert.

    Picked up yesterday.

Met up with Tim yesterday to pick up his PO, wanted to try the blue version for a while and its a stunner!
