Hi I have 7 1/2 inch wrists will this be an issue ? Never had a Speedmaster although I tried on a 57 and found the bracelet too tight. Will be disappointed if I have to turn mine down due to strap sizing !
Have a PO on bracelet which is fine.

I have 7" wrist and had 3 links taken out so you should be ok as I like mine loose ,failing that you can always get extra links for it.

The standard old Speedy Pro is more authentic at a fraction of the price.

But that's not the point is it. This is a limited edition specifically aimed at the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. Very topical at present as the big day gets nearer. The limited editions thread currently running addresses your point. I had two Snoopy's - bizarrely a limited edition to celebrate a near disaster and an Ed White from 1964 but never owned a standard Speedy Pro.

Each to their own, I like it 👍

Also got this a few weeks ago, still waiting for the strap to come in, apparently a shortage of the leather strap and deploying clasp!

    Question.

The eagle model in the box, are the gold coloured legs plastic or metal?

Great watch Ryan, the bezel on these is lovely and the way it changes colour in the different lights is superb. Really love mine.

Picked this up from a local AD, the one model of Nomos which appealed to me due to the blued steel hour & minute hands, and the red seconds hand.

Not new but I haven’t worn it in the last 10 years

Just back from Simon Freese my 1982 Omega. Simon went above and beyond to source a new crystal. Following a full service the watch arrived beautifully packaged and set to within 3 seconds. Not bad for a 37 yr old wearer.

Apologies for the poor photos , they are just off my ipad in a dark study.

I didn't intend to go DJ route but the colour on the dial is just so mesmerising and it's such a classic elegance.

That’s a good one. Can you get it with the jubilee bracelet I think that would work well with the fluted bezel?

Interesting that it’s taken a drastic shortage of sports watches to make hobbyists see what ‘ordinary’ buyers have known all along....that the DJ is probably the best all-round Watch Rolex makes.
Which is why it’s the historic, and current, best seller. The DJ’s sin has been that you can actually buy it. Hobbyists often want what they can’t easily get, regardless.
You can get it with the Jubilee...which, I agree, suits this Model.

I wanted a jubilee but didn't have any in stock and when I tried the 36mm DJ with Jubilee it feels that Oyster Bracelet is more sporty/ musculine.

    Best

Agreed oyster bracelet is more a guy one, I’ve yet to see the new GMT in the flesh with the jubilee to see if it works on that as well

Well , as they both fit...mine was switched for me in the shop...you could always try a Jubilee at some time in the future. It’s true that they make the watch a touch more ‘bling’ so you could see the Oyster as more masculine. Both nice.

I'll order jubilee bracelet as well and the salesperson did offered but he was taking ages and I needed to go somewhere else.

Finally able to unsticker and wear.

Managed to get one last week to subsequently find out one I'd ordered elsewhere came in at the weekend. So the one I got last week (unworn with stickers) I moved on and picked this up today! Fiddly way around ownership but got there in the end. Nowhere near as big and bulky as I'd read.

They really are lovely. Fantastic service from Fraser Hart in Leeds too

Another DJ but this one is quartz and on a jubilee bracelet.

I was very fortunate to have this one passed down to me by my dad on Friday. A wonderful man and so generous, will always treasure it.

Thank you so much and I still can’t believe he gave it to me but knew how much I loved watches and wanted me to enjoy it.

He used to love wearing it at weekends and special occasions but said he was struggling to see to tell the time on it these days. God bless him.

Waiting on a Seadweller from a friend who is now unsure if he wants to sell (another story) so went to Manchester with mrs weasel and found a DJ41 only just arrived into an AD, went for the rhodium dial over the white, and totally smitten with it.
