Just had a rather pleasant coffee with a forum member and came away with this.

I am rather pleased with it.

    Love the look of these.

Unsolicited strap suggestion #2 - were it me I'd go two-part so as not to add any more height to a big watch, and try and match the tone -

    Or if you're feeling bold:

    Cheers for the suggestions Gents

I am going through the strap boxes now
I am feeling the need for a new flat vent strap though…
    Edit
Found a uncle Seiko flat vent.

    Not sure
It’s a bit thin and short

    Immediate improvement

Personally prefer a strap be as short as functionally possible - hate having half a yard of unnecessary strap flapping in the breeze.

This arrived today via Sales Corner. I love the big crown, simple dial, non-date, the domed crystal and the size (38.5mm). Ideally the lug to lug length would be a tad shorter, but there’s no such thing as the perfect watch.

Ordered back in October, but worth the wait. Production issue with the oyster style bracelets so will come in about 6 weeks, but they included a free NATO in the meantime.

Really hard to capture the colour, in various light it goes from pale mango to darker amber and almost copper.

Easy to read, great lume and at 37.5 x 9.25mm it's a sweet spot for my skinny wrists.

Nice pickup. Their best reissue imo, and one of my favourites from anyone.

Truly lovely - cannot believe I missed this in the sales section, I have been looking at them for ages!

I have to admit, the lug to lug was the only thing I was unsure about.

First proper incoming for around 2 years now (moonswatches, blancpain x and stars wars watches excluded).

Fed up playing Rolex games and given up on getting a Pepsi on jubilee so decided to scratch the Santos itch and blow the watch fund. Tried the green dial on at the airport last year and loved it. Really like the new dual time just released at Watches and Wonders so this may be a stop gap.

Big thank you to Alex and Michael @ Watches of Whitby for a seamless transaction. Absolute pleasure to deal with.

Difficult watch to photograph and do the green dial any justice, plus my photograph skills are rubbish but quick snap. Will try and do a proper write up when I have more time.

The bracelet and quick release system is absolute genius, can remove links with no tools or risk of damage/scratching lugs. Even easier to use than system on my PAM 312.

Excuse finger prints…. The bezel isn’t actually scratched, watch is mint.

Arrived a couple of weeks ago but first chance I've had to wear it. I've always been a Moser admirer so finally decided to pull the trigger. It's real interesting intersection between a dressy watch and a sports watch.

My first ever Panerai, felt I had to try one at some point even though it's bigger than my current preference for c40mm. I'm pleasantly surprised how well it wears and really like its simplicity.

Two arrivals in this last couple of weeks...

Ironically... both are manual wind pieces, not even auto. Probably not by accident too.

Having a bit of a cull of things that I don't wear, and trying to streamline down now to absolute keepers.

    Cosmonaute 809 circal 1965
    and Heuer Reference 12.

    Have a great weekend all.

Thank you for the kind words :) It looks great! I had problems doing the green dial justice too.

    Enjoy, it's a lovely watch that :)

I have one of these arriving tomorrow (or Tuesday) I have never really been into Casio even though if I was off to paddle the Amazon River in a canoe I would choose a Casio of some description but I do like these full metal models, this will be three I own.

Not sure whether too leave as is with the negative dial or swap the positive out of my beater into it.

No joy with my WTB on here but thankfully a US member on Watchuseek got in touch on that platform and I've finally scratched this itch without paying the crazy retail price.

Love it. I'd leave it as-is given the surround of the module is colour matched to the case. Also negative looks really good with this colourway IMO.
