Don't give up on NATOs. They really suit the watch. IMHO that colour really doesn't! Try something darker.

I've never shopped on this German site that stocks Rios myself, but many people have recommended them: http://www.watch-band-center.com/wat...-Rios1931.html

Birthday gift from yesterday, custom build SKX.

    - case from an SKX009
    - NH35 movement (so hacking & handwind)
    - PO style bezel
    - Yobokies handset
    - Yobokies MM style dial
    - Strapcode Super Engineer bracelet

    And on a leather NATO

Chuffed with how it has turned out.

Did you have to do anything with the crown? I was under the impression the 7s26 crown couldn't fit the hacking movements

Hi, yes, it did need a new crown. I didn't build it, that was done by a chum from a different forum.

I've been looking for a birth-month seiko diver for ages.. Found this one on eBay from a seller all the way over in Michigan USA.

It took a good few weeks to get here but I'm very happy with it. Seller advised that the bezel insert and hands are replacements but the rest is all original

Just got home from work to find this beauty waiting for me. My first incoming in over 18 months. A quick, rubbish photo that does it no justice but what a lovely dial. More photos to follow later

    My new arrival

I thought I'd change it up and show the back of the watch first:

Now this is how you present a product

    And finally

That's a lovely dial. I really enjoy my silver DJ and that linen one is a very unusual but delightful choice

Been lusting over one of these for the past couple of years, now a proud owner. Very slightly domed crystal, applied Superluminova arabic numerals, (lume is amazing), wonderful 'leaf hands' and a brilliant onion winding crown. Finish is exquisite, horizontal finely brushed finish around circumference of case with a highly polished slightly angled bezel, with a beautifully engraved case back showing Bleriot in his aircraft.

Gorgeous! Do you mind if I ask how much one of these would set one back? (You don't have to reveal how much you paid for it, a narrow range will suffice)

Yet another Steinhart. After recently selling the Gnomon limited edition military watch, this one just sort of fell into my lap. This is also a Gnomon limited edition of 150 pieces and is a lot harder to find than the military LE. This is a true homage to the 1665 Great White and has Mercedes hands rather than the sword hands and of course has a date at the 3 o'clock position. The watch came on the NATO, the SS bracelet is still sealed and has never been used. The watch has the Heselite superdomed crystal, which seems unique to the limited edition models.

Off the top of my head I think these are just over 5k rrp.
    Pretty sure that's right!

I'd be surprised if you could find one new but maybe a WTB as here would unearth one.

Waiting for my new (used) Deep Blue Master 1000

I'm actually not a big rubber fan, but since this strap is perfect fit and the right color, I might keep it this way...

Looks like they're out of stock now but you may be able to find one elsewhere

Except for the lake of date, dial and case look exactly like my old Hamilton from the 80's. But the Hamilton was more about 34 mm.
Should be not far from the perfect size so. Lugs seems not to long, I think at 38 and mechanical, would be just perfect.

I'm very excited today, having picked up this lovely 16570. It came from Haywood Milton, who is a top chap, generous with his time, knowledge and enthusiasm.

I think I have now reached perfection, with nothing to add, and nothing to take away

I really missed not having a scuba dude in my collection, so I received this yesterday:

And the first thing I did, as always, was removing the bracelet and adding a leather strap:
