Just finished watching the series on Sky Atlantic excellent viewing apparently there was a film in 2008 wondered if anyone has seen it and what they thought.

Good film, brutal though, not one for Christmas Day with the family.

Film was excellent. Although the series is better. With the series being longer than the film it has more opportunity to draw you into each character and story.

Not seen the film but did watch this series, superb!!

If you liked this I would also recommend this if you havent seen it, along the same lines but IMO better!

I loved the TV series too. The movie was ok. The book is alright also IMO, though I don't really like saviano's style.

Absolutely wonderful series - Bea and I were completely gripped from the first episode. And what an ending!

I'd heard about the movie, but had never got round to watching it. However, saw that a series had started and ended up watching an episode. Instantly hooked. Best show seen in quite some time and really looking forward to a 2nd series. Watched the film also, but have to say was slightly disappointed after hearing good things about it. The TV series is so much better, but that's to be expected as they can go further with it. If you haven't watched the series give it a go you won't be disappointed.
