It says that the "super rare" and "very hard to manufacture" 60 minute and 12 hour chrono subdials - why so hard to make? Lots of watches have these - what am I missing?

Actually the fm Aeternitas*only has 25 visible complications, the marketing department seems to have exaggerated slightly, plus it was produced via CAD, the Patek was designed and produced by hand, I know what I'd choose.

In my humble opinion the difference between the Patek Philippe and the Franke Muller is that one is elegant and all information can easily be assimilated; the Franke Muller is like a bejewelled rapper and bloody awful to look at. That PP reminds me of George Daniels' Space Traveller - a beautiful coming together of science, engineering and artistry.

Thanks for posting the video, that is an amazing work of engineering. Hopefully whoever buys it will have plenty of spare time to play with all those bells and whistles. I wonder how big the instruction manual is :-)

Agreed, not really important at all. A nice thing and an extreme piece of craftsmanship but really a horological dead-end.
An innovative design which advanced the design of watches (the first quartz even) could better hold that title. Then again, to most folk it's probably the one they rely on, so (something like a Casio)?
