Is it definitely a real Breitling? The plots on mine are fantastic.
I only ask as there are some fairly accurate fakes of some models.
Evening,
Just seen a picture of this Breitling on another forum, and my eye was immediately drawn to the lume pips which all look to be different shapes with inconsistent borders and wobbly edges - some of them are rounded, others are angular, some just bulbous. Is this to be expected on a Breitling of this type? To me, it looks amateurish.

It's just a matter of time...
Either poor reluming or a bigger issue. The watch looks off to me.
Is it the photo or is the date window outline iffy.

Bezel is also wrong.
Avoid - watch has issues

Thank you all for your input - I didn't want to say I suspected it was a fake as my knowledge of Breitling watches is non existent. It's new to him, so I've asked where it was sourced from. It doesn't sound good though.
Very dodgy. If genuine (unlikely), for some reason it's had a very poor re-lume, it didn't leave Breitling like that!
For me, I'd have to know 100% that it's genuine, and the price would have to be cheap enough to factor in the price of having a new dial fitted.
The chap got it from Goldsmiths, so quite how it left them like that is beyond me.
Don't by a Breitling Colt full stop... re-lumens or not!
That looks dreadful. Crikey.
I think the lighting of the photo exaggerates any possible issues - the light is catching on some of the indices making them look bigger. I think a photo with a different light source might look much better.
Lume looks dreadful. Avoid would be my advice.
I know nothing about breitling watches but I do know that's very bad lume and that alone would be enough for me to stay clear of it

The folks over at the Breitlingsource forum might be worth consulting. The have a sub forum for questionable Breitlings.
The lume application looks shoddy but the rest looks ok. Nice deep engraving on the bezel, both the minute markers and the numerals seem fine. Even the 'best' fakes still have crap bezels. That being said, the resolution of the original photo isn't good enough to do a true comparison.
Here’s a slightly blurry image of my Colt Quartz. Macro lens illustrating what the lume looks like.
OP. The Colt you’re looking at has some issues

Well to be fair that's like comparing apples and oranges. Your lume is applied straight to dial, his are in plots.
