Is there any software that will fool my PC

I'm looking to get my windows 8.1 laptop to see U.S tv region settings, does anyone know how this could be done?

I use Firefox and a plugin called Hola - this lets me watch stuff on the CBS website that is only for US.

Check out 'hide my ass'. Costs about $75 per year and allows you to choose which location you'd like your IP address to be in. I use here in DE to stream from iplayer and sky go etc but the locations are global in respect of IP address.

    Yep, that'll do it.
    Try VPNFire or something similar.
You can exit from a node in HK, UK, USA etc.

What do you mean by 'U.S tv region settings'?

If you want to watch US TV then some solutions have already been offered:

Google Chrome with Hola works quite well and is free

Pay for a VPN service; I use StrongVPN. I tried a host of free VPNs and, without fail, they were useless with problems of not being able to sign in, frequent drop outs etc. I primarily use mine when travelling overseas to view UK TV and read/view videos from the BBC news website as I would back home.

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
