Tried to open it with a squashball, a regular watch opener and even a wrench.
There is no opener on ebay (only whole sets).
Anyone a splendid idea? It needs a new battery...

Have you tried making a big ball of sticky tape, tennis ball size, press down firmly and turn.
What about trying a Breitling AD?..... or any competent jewelry store?
Just like this one
I'm thinking you could do waaay more than £80 damage by trying to open the watch without the correct tool!
I think it is time to smile sweetly and open the piggy bank
I really don't think that is the case, they may "vigorously suggest" you do a service ...but at the end of the day? you don't have too.
Aside from that , I think if I can't afford the cost service? I can't afford the watch, period.
Like buying a Ferrari and worrying about the cost of a regular service tune up ....

Guess I have to buy myself a decent Breitling opener then.
Local AD's won't open it. They only send it in for a service and battery change. Typical Breitling policy.
Thanks for all the reactions!
