    Lange pocket watch

When I started my journey in watchland I learned that the top of the foodchain are Patek P and Lange & Sohne. Seeing one in the flesh I have to admit that it is true: a Lange 52mm 18k pocket watch with 1B movement and beautiful Breguet dial. The serial dates it to around 1910 so over a century old but still running strong!!

    Some pics:

ALS has always been the most impressive movement designer IMHO.
However, somehow its watches just do not hold values that well comparing to PP.
Would like to be enlightened by the experts here.

I assume it has something to do with the fact that the brand is not as famous as PP.

After 19 hours the watch still runs spot on (after it was not used for a very long time)

Reserve of 31 hours and <1 min in 24 hours. How's that?

One day I would love to pick up a Lange or Patek pocket watch.

    Works of art!

That is lovely - I bet you could spend hours drinking in the little details. Any more pics please?

Beautiful indeed. I suppose that a watch like this costs only a small fraction of the money you have to pay for an ALS wristwatch.

Value is about 3-4k so yes a bit cheaper. Problem is you can't really use it.

As a point of interest, are the case and movement numbers the same?

    It's a lovely thing :)

Just for the fun of it: 394 mark in 1909 was about USD 94. Which would have a value today of:
