Another addition to the TZ uniform. A potent smell of Creed after shave, usually be chased down the street by a couple of lovely ladies fizzing at the whizzbang.

Sorry, can’t take credit for that. Check out post #51 on the Aftershave thread.

Paddy! recounts it very proudly, as Creed has made his colleague some sort of fanny magnet.

Ah, yes, 'Creed' - every bottle comes with a free 'sh*tty stick' to beat-back the excess flange... "Form an orderly queue, ladies!" &c.

4/4 - Rolex, VW golf, Barbour (x4) fountain pen (but not used a great deal these days but I do like them).

Add also Red Wing chukkas and a Brompton.

I think a pair of Sebago boat shoes is the latest uniform addition.

There's a difference between boat shoes & deck shoes.

    Just sayin', like.

    - 1.5 Omegas, no Rolex as they don’t do it for me
    - elderly disintegrating Mercedes
    - do have a Barbour but my favourite jacket is a Swazi Windriver that I’ve had for 22 years
    - Pelikan fountain pens, numerous
    - several daft torches

But really this only scrapes the surface of my knobendry. Let’s add:

    - about 50 Swiss Army knives. I collect them and am also never without at least one on my person except when naked or on an aeroplane.
    - utterly pointless number of screwdrivers
    - backpacks, satchels, sling bags, pouches, smaller pouches inside those pouches
    - twatty hi-fi system and about 3,000 CDs
    - if it can be made out of titanium I own one made out of titanium (except watches, oddly)

It’s amazing I’m not more divorced than I am, really.

The only thing on the list is the car but that’s only because I wanted a vaguely practical convertible and I can’t afford an LC500.

I dislike both Rolex and omega, Barbour don’t make coats ample enough for my manly girth and I use an iPad and pencil for note taking. I’ve not had to sign my name in years unless I’m in the USA and then I use whatever the car rental place or hotel have to hand.

Edited to add. I also have a twatty hi-fi, less twatty than a few years back but massively twattier than a Sonos or the like.

    No Omega or Rolex.
No Selvedge, hope that´s correct spelling, Jeans.
    No Belstaff or Barbour jackets.
Only 2 penknives both showing extreme signs of wear.
    No fountain pen.
    No mobile phone.
No hyper powerful LED torch collection, as such, though I think we´ve a couple of bog standard small torches somewhere about the house.
    No brogues, urgh.
    No posh German motor.
No white soled shoes, heck really what´s the point of white soles, they´ll only get mucky quickly IF you leave the house in them.

Lot´s of EMS convertible cargo-hiking shorts- pants.
Several pairs of board shorts, whatever's on sale.
Several pairs of trainers, off road running shoe sort not the mincey posing ones. Asics, La Sportiva.
Do have 2 rucksacks though! One super lightweight climbers pack used for running and the VINTAGE Norwegian Army one, bought here from Rev, for best.
1 Carinthia Gore tex jacket new for best, 1 used surplus gore tex jacket German, for gardening, rough duties.
    Columbia hiking sandals.
    Flip flops Chinese supermarket.
Hats, an Esparto wide brimmed sun hat Mrs P wove for me, couple of commercial type approximate equivalents, various baseball caps.
    Sunscreen factor 50.

I know right, though in fairness, the full picture Mrs P does have one, bless her she tells, filters to me the important, the relevant to me stuff on a need to know basis. Works a treat. Less is more.

Did have one back in the day for work though.

You've missed of the staple TZ'er requirement, the espresso machine, grinder, scales and timer with accompanying rarer than rare coffee beans hand roasted by monks in outer mongolia!!

It is obvious that underneath our many differences we share a few common traits, that go beyond our interests in horological matters.

So much so that I am sure that quite a few would possibly admit possessing more than one item on this list:

    - A middle end watch, Rolex or Omega
    - A German motor
    - A Barbour Commander, or at least another Barbour or Belstaff
    - A fountain pen or at least a high end biro

Anyone care to add to the list (second hand flip flops and underwear excepted )?

Arctic level boots and jacket (must be in suitable garish colour) costing thousands of pounds to brave the single digit temps that come with the weekly walk to fetch the sunday paper or casual stroll to the office.

I am 3/4 on the original.

    - Omega
    - 1 x BMW, 1 x VW
    - No Barnour, but do have a Gant gilet
    - Cross, Parker, Waterman

    I would add:

    - at least one hobby/ leisure vehicle, be it classic, sports, motorcycle or trackday. I have a 77 MG Midget.

    Bu99er I am almost a TZ full kit w@nker…
    Mid range watch - check
    Barbour - check,
Selvedge denim - check, I only wear selvedge
Posh pen - check, (although I am dyslexic so can’t spell and my hand writing is a mess, so never use them)
    German Motor - nope
Redwing boots - check several pairs but not with white soles.
Penknives - check, so many penknives in case I find myself living rough in a London park.
Musty old fashioned canvas rucksack - check
Manky dog egg encrusted sandals - nope, mine have elephant sh1t on them.
Aftershave - check, I smell like a tarts bedroom.

    Shit, where to start?

Omega/Rolex/IWC - er, yes. Though I've not been mugged for them in Central London.

Selvedge jeans - no, they're horrible, and I almost always wear mountain bike shorts when not in the office
Belstaff or Barbour jackets - multiple Barbour, wouldn't touch Belstaff with a barge pole. I have proper gear for my bike.
Penknives - yes, a couple of Leatherman multitools
Fountain pens - mainly vintage Cross, Waterman, Pelikan, plus a slightly nouveau riche MontBlanc. Worse, I only write with fountain pens.
    Ubiquitous iPhone
Hyper powerful LED torch collection - nah, not for me, though I have got a blindingly bright Petzl head torch
Brogues - yep, lots of Church's finest, though none bought in the last seven years or so. Plus DMs, obviously
Posh German motor - does an 18 year old E Class count?
Stupidly powerful British hifi that looks like multiple slabs of bare metal - sadly, yes
    Brompton - just the one
Bespoke shirts - I mean, doesn't everyone? Extra points, I think, for contrasting/floral inner faces to the collar/cuffs
Selection of reassuringly function-free but nevertheless expensive cameras? oh yes
Well-filled shotgun cabinet? Yes, but there's nothing fancier than a Beretta in there

Come on, no-one's going to beat that level of wanknosity, surely?

    1. Guilty
    2. Drive french and japanese
    3. Always the best coat bargain I can get off ebay - but revolve around cycling-friendly coats
    4. Pens? haven't written anything down in years why would I own a pen?

    Wearer - Seiko or Divex
Most used vehicle over a year - I think it has a Briggs and Stratton engine
Coat - Anything up to say £100
Pens - hundreds, but mainly use a Zebra Cadoozle pencil with a well worn cartoon space scene on it

Would they be suitable to wear whilst churning your own butter (ooooh-errrr missus) from reduced-price cream to save 50p on your Waitrose/Ocado/Fortnum's order?

Asking for a friend, of course!
